My husband and i recently moved to NJ and the first time we ordered, we were pleased to find an Indian restaurant with good food, albeit pricey. But our opinion has since changed. We have ordered from here about 6 times and only
50% of the time has the order been accurate /without issue. One time they forgot to give us one of the appetizers and we had to drive back. A second time, there was actually a piece of metal in my food which I almost swallowed. We called the restaurant...read full review

Mrs. Kumar's Fine Indian Restaurant & Bar offers a beautifully decorated, visually stunning setting with bold wall colors, large mirrors, and sparkling lights. The sleek, marble-accented bar is an absolute showstopper, stocked with a premium selection of spirits and wine, and equipped with perfectly placed screens. The atmosphere is fun and welcoming, with excellent service from all employees.
The food is amazing, with rich, authentic flavors served in beautiful hammered brass and copper serveware. The Dal Makhani is a masterpiece—creamy, slow cooked to perfection, and deeply comforting. The vibrant, perfectly spiced Veg Jalfrezi bursts with fresh texture and color, paired with exceptionally fluffy Poori and perfectly charred, smoky naan. The Double ka Mitha, a playful dessert from Hyderabad, is not to be missed, and the Cut Mirchi is a great way to start the meal. However, some dishes may vary: the Shrimp Sukka could be more sukka, the Lamb Karahi and Shrimp Sukka looked and tasted quite similar, and the Dahi Baingan is bland. The Chicken Tikka Masala can be dry and full of sugar, with raw tandoori roti. Despite this, the food and service are spectacular, making this a memorable, five-star experience for a special occasion or a relaxed drink.
