“It was our honor and privilege to be a part of a dear friend's B'day Bash last Sunday at Kochi. Dining at Kochi was one of the, if not THE, most memorable experience ever. We were totally floored by the exquisite food - and service - provided by Chef and Owner Mr. Jebu Matthew and his team. From the cool berry drink and amazing classic South Indian appetizers, to the numerous - and for us, many new - items that kept appearing in front of us almost magically during the main meal, served in the traditional South Indian style (on banana leaves), right through the delectable halwa and delicious jaggery rice payasam (desserts), we could feel the love and careful attention with which each item was prepared and pride with which each item was served. Plus, being served by Mr. Matthew himself was, in and of itself, humbling. “I recently ate at Cumin N Eat, and honestly, the food completely lived up to the hype.

From the moment the dishes came out, you could tell everything was made fresh and with real attention to flavor. The spices were perfectly balanced—not too overpowering, but still packed with that rich, authentic taste that makes you want to keep eating even when you’re full. Every bite had depth, and you can tell they don’t cut corners when it comes to ingredients.

But the highlight for me had to be the wings. They were absolutely amazing—crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and coated in a sauce that had the perfect mix of flavor and heat. Not too spicy, not too mild—just right. They were easily some of the best wings I’ve had, and I’d go back just for those alone.

“My husband and I were craving Indian so we decided to try this place. Firstly, picking up it was the nicest customer service. The man was so personal and friendly, it was like walking into a family restaurant. He gave me a tea, some yummy dessert and he didn’t even want to accept money for it.

However the garlic naan was disappointing - it was a tad bit salty but mostly the bread was flat and dense - it should be a little more fluffy with a nice chew. She said she will start cooking then and will take time .We almost wanted to leave the place because we weren’t confident of how fast they will prepare.. to all our surprise , she was able to cook food quickly and the food was deliciousssssssssss.. its almost like our mom cooking at home . We had unlimited thali.she brought us dolls , samosa , kichadi , rotis , undhiyiu, potato bhaji, gulab jamun, chaas etc. all my friends were happy and had a fantastic meal . She said to call her next time before coming , so she can prepare all food :) even though it was a slow start , we were so happy with the food .It’s truly a hidden gem .
