“Previously the Hot Breads in Monroe, Currys & Cakes is under new ownership but remains an Indian bakery. The owners are very nice and helpful. One day I called asking if they had pav bhaji buns available and they didn't, but they asked me how many I needed and told me to come at a certain time because they had begun baking the bread. When I picked them up, the buns were still steaming hot and they remained hot once I arrived home. They were fluffy, soft, and delicious. I appreciated their kind actions and look forward to supporting their business in the future!“
“I had a party at home for 50 for my daughters birthday and catered all the food from Mrs Kumar’s Monroe NJ and the food was GREAT, we had a live Dosa station and a variety of dosas masala dosa, spicy gun powder, dosa paneer, dosa cheese, Mysore masala dosa, ghee dosa and green chili onion dosa the dosa station was a huge hit of the party all my guests loved it. Then we had chicken biryani, fish pakora, tandoori fish, chicken kadai, jeera rice, palak dal, Guti vankaya, vegetarian Manchurian, peanut chutney, coconut chutney, sambar, raita carrot halwa to name a few.Mrs Kumar staff was very friendly courteous and they took good care of my guests. I had a 6 member crew of Mrs Kumar who did a splendid job. They were so nice to the kids older people all the guests. I had guests of varying ages.The party was a great success and Mrs Kumar Food is superb. “I am one to post reviews usually, and even if I do, its when I was truly disappointed with a product/service. With that out of the way, let me share my experience with Chatpati Delhi.I was visiting my cousins in NJ for the first time and as most Indians wanted to relish some good Indian food as the first thing in the city. My cousin suggested Chatpati Delhi and who can resist chaat, so we went there.We ordered pretty much all the usual suspects - pav bhaji, Vada pav, paneer tikka, Pani puri, khasta kachori. Now I count myself as a through and through foodie so I don't get satisfied easily. And the expectations were all the more high because we don't get good chaat in Austin, TX (where I live).To my utter surprise Chatpati Delhi not only not disappoint, they actually exceeded my expectations and that of my family. My wife and I couldn't stop expressing our gratitude for the delicious, and flavorful food we were getting to enjoy. The paneer tikka was especially soft, and masaledaar. The pav bhaji was way better than some of the best pav bhaji I had in India.Even better than the food was the exceptional service. Abhijeet from the restaurant was super warm and welcoming; made us feel very special and like family.I am stepping out to pick up some more of the amazing chaat from Chatpati Delhi before we head to the airport. “The ambience of this place is superior to most Indian restaurants in the area, however, finding a reservation in the dining side can be a bit challenging, if not in advance. The Indian food is nontraditional with a twist to staple Indian cuisines. There’s a platter of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. Some unique options include their stuffed mirchi Bhajji and their jackfruit biryani.Vegetarian options: There are plenty of vegetarian options and main entry to choose from. The location is probably better for its ambience on the food however, the menu will not disappoint.“

“Had an unforgettable experience at this place. Tried appam, idiyappam, porotta, kochi special chicken curry, chemmeen ularthiyathu, mango lassi, butter milk. Everything was so good and took me back to kerala. I was so content after the meals and thanks to everyone there for being so welcoming and homely. Special thanks to Chef Mathew who gave pazham pori and payasam as complimentary dessert. It was heavenly.
