I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food --the calamari was excellent,absolutely fresh and very lightly fried. The pierogies were amazing; we also had a salad and the apple strudel -- both highly recommended. The ales were cool and just what we needed after a hot afternoon of hiking. The place has outdoor seating that overlooks the lake, and the indoor area is spacious and has a glass front. The service was friendly but it is the food that stood out the most. Last night for Valentine’s Day my wife and I visited the restaurant for the first time We ordered one of their Valentine’s Day special offers. “I’ve gotten 4 items delivered so far to my home. The Sicilian pie with garlic knots and sauce -which is much better than all the other pizza places I’ve tried. The cheese is NOT overly salty, they’re generous with it and the food comes hot and fresh. We also had the Italian sandwich (not the Italian sub/hero with all the meats) but their way of making a new sandwich. Tons of mayo, Romaine lettuce, tomato, Italian meats. (I forget what type), fresh roll. I have a small appetite but ate the entire thing. That’s how good and different it was! The Neapolitan pizza pie-plain. Good stuff. Going back for something different soon. Sorry I have no pictures. We ate it all. lol. Coming from an area that has a dozen pizza joints it’s been fun trying to find something we both really like and see things we haven’t seen on other menu’s. Maybe we will dine in soon. ;1)“

“A wonderful meal! At our convenience, we were seated before our reservation time. The meal, particularly the communal salad bar, was delicious and of excellent quality. Given the caliber of the cuisine and service, the prices were fair. The portions were substantial without becoming intrusive. The window seat was soothing to have since a natural vista complemented the tastes, and the indoor ambiance was warm and pleasant.“

“Best gluten free pizza crust on the East Coast. They don't use that sad pre-made cracker most places use. Joey's GF pizzas are crispy, moist, soft, and flakey all at the same time. The first time I ordered it I had to call back and make sure they didn't send me a normal pizza!! I couldn't believe it was GF. That was years ago and we have happily been ordering from here ever since. The spinach and egg soup is also amazing, order 2 or 3!!“
