“I wish I knew this place sooner! The owner was so inviting and amazing . I ordered 2 items, I came into the store not only was she nice, but she also made FRESH chive dumplings for me to eat while I was watiting for my food. Not only that she got me a free dessert to try and a free thai tea for my wife to try as well. NOT giving five stars because of the free food etc. But the food and drinks were actually AMAZING. I'm a vietnamese/ malaysian and Thai food reminds me of home. It's hard to find good thai food here in new jersey. Now that I've tried this place out I will be back for more! The location can be easily missed, if not paying atttention but please you guys gotta give it a try TRUST!“

“House of Thai is a hidden gem in Mayfair! The owners are wonderful people that treat you like you’re family! The atmosphere is calm & relaxing & intimate! I’ve been going here for years & they never disappoint. They’re consistent in the flavorful, freshness of their food! I ordered pickup through Uber eats as I haven’t had them in a while & Of course they still didn’t disappoint. They were so quick with making the food! It came fast & was packaged with care! “The 16 ounce Tom Yum Goong hot, spicy and sour shrimp soup, when complimented with a scrambled egg and white rice is a very a inexpensive way to enjoy a delicious hot and sweet delight. The shrimp and vegetables were tasty and was kicked up appropriately. Every ingredient presented in a very balanced way. For $5.99 you can't beat it.“

“My wife and I just had the best Thai food we've had in a long time.

Started with two appetizers. The Thai Crepe was a thin thai crepe, lightly crisp rice flour with incredibly seasoned veggies and tofu with a condiment of pickled diced radish and carrot. The flavors and textures were perfect together. The veggie dumplings looked like little flowers. The dough was thin and light, seasoned perfectly.

That's a running theme here--perfect aromatic seasoning.

Entrees were equally delicious. Massaman curry with shrimp. Veggies saturated in the sauce with a generous portion of shrimp. It had just a hint of hot to blend exactly right with the sweetness. So good. Veggie tofu pad Thai was great. Noodles had the perfect bite and, once again, seasoned beautifully.

We also got a pot of green tea which complemented the meal perfectly. Joe, our server, was super attentive and friendly and kept our pot filled. His wife was doing the cooking--and what a great cook she is!

Got dessert to go: mango sticky rice. Joe said we'd love it because the mango was so sweet. He was right! And the rice had the perfect bite.

“First time trying Korean food since it’s halal although a lot of the items were not available to order what I did order was and although for my taste looks bland specially the soup it was very very delicious I ordered the fried chicken bowl with sweet sauce and it was great portion size even my toddler liked it“

We had one of the evening's specials, shrimp dumplings, as well as the Salmon Prik and the Drunken Noodles. All three were excellent. Also ordered the appetizer sampler - good but not up to the high standard of the other dishes. Ended the meal with fried bananas and vanilla ice cream. Every dish was beautifully presented and tasted delicious. We brought our own wine (love BYOB's) and ended the meal well below $100. Go support this place!“

Portion sizes are absolutely huge. The pad thai is always made fresh on the wok while we wait.

We've been to Thai Max at various times of the year - the busy Christmas season, a slow Monday morning in the springtime - and regardless of the level of traffic at the mall, Thai Max is solidly consistent.“

“The food??? AMAZING!! The chicken wings got so much flavor and the rice is perfectly seasoned not too much not too little. Now my favorite thing??? That shrimp tempura poke bowl is AMAZINGGG. I literally will gladly take that 16 minute drive any day. Edit: ordered again today, got the same bowl but with brown rice due to diabetes, was SUPER GOOD. Will never complain !“

“This is a very good combination Thai/Chinese restaurant however I think their menu is now abbreviated and they have stopped making the Thai dishes. I have had the Thai food and it was good but usually ordered Chinese dishes which are also very good. They now have very reasonable lunch and dinner specials with choice or rice and eggroll. “Really yummy! Ideal Chinese takeout. I got the steamed dumplings and the sesame chicken combo and everything was delicious and well seasoned! Very flavorful. The dumplings were homemade and you could tell from the thick chewy skin. The egg roll was quite oily but everything else was outstanding so that was fine. Special shout out to the dumpling sauce - I want to know how to make it!! So delicious. Take your own sauces too which I love. I always want extra. Instead of salmon, I ended up receiving shrimp teriyaki. I wasn’t going to call but I figured I may as well just let them know- the employee who answered the phone was so nice and apologetic, and immediately offered to bring me the correct protein that I ordered. I accepted the offer and asked if he wanted me to return the untouched shrimp order, but he said to keep it! then, I expected them to just deliver me the salmon to add to the meal, but they brought me an ENTIRE other bento box with the salmon! I was so shocked! not only that, but they also returned the cash to make up the difference in price on the order. they did NOT have to do that, but it shows so much about their restaurant. we also ordered some sushi, drunken noodles, and a seaweed salad and it did not disappoint at all. we will be ordering from asian chef again soon thanks to their kindness, and their excellent quality food!!“
