“I have so many times here i like the server a lot his name is Edwin he is very kind and take care the table very very well i would like to come again i like the service from the server and the manager is very funny and kind his name is farel thanks“
“Consistency is key and Ju-Ichi has delivered several times at different times of the day. Visited both for lunch and dinner with friends and from the sushi rolls to udon and Ramen, excellent broth and tasty menu all around.Kid-friendliness: Have brought my 1 year old here and never found it to be rushed and there are plenty of high chairs for kids.“
“Best Japanese place in the area IMO.. so lucky to live within less than a mile! Tried the pork fried dumplings today and they were freshly hand made and delicious, the dipping sauce was like a sweet soy, yum. Their ginger dressing is so good we always get extra for our avocado salad. Favorite roll is the Golden Dragon! Don't skip this place. Also very nice owners and staff, every time!“
“We visited while in the area and found both the food and service to be outstanding. The sushi was very fresh and there are some inventive rolls on the menu. They have several tea options, one of which is the Flower Tea, a beautifully fragrant mix of organic leaves of jasmine, rose, lavender, chamomile and marigold which my daughter and I found to be soothing and totally hit the spot on a chilly rainy night. The owner was accommodating and extremely friendly; she made sure to check on us several times during the meal. Highly recommend!“
“Tokyo Sushi is a solid sushi spot in the neighborhood! We ordered two party platters here for a family gathering and I was impressed with how fresh and well-prepared the rolls were. Placing our order over the phone was a breeze - the woman on the line guided us to select a number of rolls and sashimi and even gave us a few recommendations that ended up being solid picks. There was a wait of around forty minutes for our platters, but the resulting dishes were gorgeous, and most importantly, tasty. The folks here are as nice as can be and while we placed a to-go order, it seems like a postprandial froyo might be a great perk of dining in. As an added plus, there is a sweet $30 discount that is applied to all orders above $150, which is a fantastic deal if you're placing a large order.“
“Really nice Easter buffet with great service particularly from the waiters and those working at the stations, a wide variety of well prepared options, and even a visit from the Easter bunny giving out candy filled eggs to the kids. In reference to another review complaining about no potato at the carving station and the timing of food being put out, everything was precisely as described on the menu posted online when you made the reservation, including seamlessly closing off some breakfast stations and opening some dinner stations at 3 o'clock. Exceeded expectations.“
“Everything we ordered was excellent. The station roll is very tasty and the hibachi steak and chicken are amazing as well. Definitely recommend the money bags as well, perfect combination of smoothness with crunch.Kid-friendliness: Staff is very friendly, my kids love going there they got little panda bear treats to go.“
“This is my go to sushi spot outside of traveling to NYC. For reference, I just went into NYC last weekend to a place for omakase, have brewed my own sake, and have traveled and tried plenty of sushi places (far more expensive) via the company credit card. The fish quality here is easily on par with most places 50% more expensive. The "dinner for two" style options are a good deal and it is BYOB if you want to bring wine or sake (which I do generally when I go). The service is incredibly friendly, actually even as an introvert I am tempted to try to strike up a conversation with Mr. Bin as he seems like a cool guy, perhaps next time I will offer him a drink. Anyway, long story short, this is the best sushi spot in the area and is worth going to 100% if you are feeling sushi. Only demerit is they should be more clear on what comes with a salad as I've ordered a second salad before, and that they always offer the oysters which IMO sound expensive (I get 1$ fresh oysters when I'm in florida). But overall this is a solid five star suggestion for sushi in the area.“
“i just want to say that the customer service for this place is amazing! we had a payment issue, and our communication back and forth was missed. and they went ABOVE and BEYOND to fix the issue. i am blown away. we love the food here it's always delicious! 10 out of 10 across the board. thank you mintea! :)“
“The food always tastes good. The people who work here are so sweet and kind. I lost my card and they took their time to call me and make sure they were giving the card to the right person. They were too kind. I tried to give a tip for helping me out alot and she refused. The service is great and I reccomend anyone to come here. Thank you to the workers in Ariyoshi for being so truthful and kind! I'll continue to rave and promote this business.“
“Placed a very large order for my place of work. Not only were they on time, they delivered early with no mistakes. Whoever answered the phone when i called to make sure they received my online order was thorough and made sure everything was correct. 10/10“
“Cozy little sushi shop in downtown Rahway! They consistently serve good tasting sushi - been a repeat customer for months (since I first tried the restaurant!) Love their mango and avocado sushi roll as well as the green dragon rolls. The appetizers are also good! The prices are also very reasonable for sushi. The service is prompt and I believe it's family owned - love seeing familiar faces!“
“One of the best places to get good sushi. They have a great selection and good drinks too. I always enjoy myself here. Just be careful walking from the parking lot to the restaurant in the dark. It’s not well lit and there isn’t a side walk. Cars pulling in or out won’t be able to see you.“
“Two small problems,no dine in anymore, pandemia killed it...,fish quality suddenly went down from a very good level before. We always take chirashi sushi and can see the difference.Plz don't cut corners even given substantial fish price inflation?.“
“Overall our brunch was very good with a couple of minor issues. The banquettes need cleaning, the juices in the cocktails weren't shaken thus making the drinks watery and not full flavored. I sent mine back and the waiter brought me another quickly. The food was good. We will come back for dinner in the future.“
“We dropped in for lunch and were pleasantly surprised. The sushi lunch packages are flexible, fresh, and priced very reasonably! Service was fast and friendly, parking super easy, refills on green tea came quickly. First time there under new management and we'll surely be back!Parking: Plenty of spaces and easy in/out“
“A nice little gem tucked away in the APA hotel. If you have a craving for Japanese food, this spot is it. (They had Fried Aji on their daily special the day I went ) I got their Salmon Ikura Don, Botan Ebi and Otoro a la carte, and their Black Sesame Panna Cotta. Food was pretty good, better than any Japanese restaurant in the main Edison area, but there are some little things to nitpick at. Some of the salmon was still slightly frozen (I went during lunch on a Tuesday), and I didn't realize some of the salmon would be slightly grilled. Thought it'd be all sashimi but that's my fault for not asking. I do wish that the veggies in the don came as a side salad instead of in the don itself. I feel like the veggies messed up the Salmon Ikura flavor profile a bit. The a la carte sushi were great! So delicious, but the Botan shrimp head came way after the botan shrimp body. Maybe their kitchen was busy, it's not really a big deal for me but I can imagine it might not be ideal for other customers. The Black Sesame Panna Cotta was not too sweet but I do wish the black sesame profile was a little bit stronger. Again, just me being nitpicky, I would definitely order it again! I will have to go back to try more of their menu items because they do have a wide selection of stuff I haven't seen elsewhere in Edison. Their service was impeccable. Something a really upscale place would have!“
“Been here for lunch many times and really enjoy it. First time for dinner, and while the food was spectacular, service was a little off. First the place was packed, so factor that, but still shouldn't wait 20 minutes to have your BYOB wine opened. Took another 20 before order was taken, and then entrees arrived 3 minutes after appetizers. Took another 20 after we were done to order coffee and dessert. They brought the coffee, then nothing until the waitress comes over with check. I asked about the desserts we ordered and she was clueless. They did try to make it right by giving us some sambuca and the desserts we ordered to go, no charge. So they tried. All in all I'll be back. The food is worth it and maybe this was just too much for a new waitress. But I may stick with lunchtime.“
“we got the Sumo roll, beef Negi, spicy salmon and yellowtail. The Sumo Roll is a must it’s salmon, tuna and avocado rapped in cucumber with a drizzle of vinegar. its sooo goood and a must try! the beef Negi is great as a dinner with salad and rise. I also want to add that the restroom is super clean which is not so common in local small restaurants to be that clean. definitely coming again! loved it“
“Nice local place if your in the mood for a poke bowl. Offer bowls with 2 or 3 proteins of your choice. I got tuna and yellowtail. You pick a variety of ingredients, toppings and sauces. They do a great job. Fish is fresh. Overall delicious.“
“By far the best hot and sour soup. Large sharable plates. Staff was very friendly. My friend had the fried tofu and was also very happy. The vegetable fried was very good although I would have liked to see more vegetables in it. But overall a great experienceDietary restrictions: They are very accommodatingParking: We arrived at around 2 pm and walked a few blocks to restaurant because parking was very limitedWheelchair accessibility: Wide doorways and walkways“
“Cute, quaint, great decor, clean and delicious. Everything from the Ramen and sushi to the Hibachi is delicious!! AND the juicy pork dumplings are SO good! As for the bubble tea and green tea cake, big thumbs up! The wait staff is friendly but the owner (or possibly manager) is even friendlier and just the kindest! She truly makes you feel welcomed! Highly recommend!!Kid-friendliness: When she’s there, the owner always takes the time to say hello and bring our kid a little sweet snack. It’s very sweet!“
“This is one of the few sushi places (if not the only one) in the area and surrounding towns that has a great vegan sushi option. Namely, vegetable maki roll is very good. While most other sushi places in the area offer very bland vegan options like a cucumber roll or avocado roll and nothing else re: rolls, Mizo sushi vegetable maki roll offers a nice combination of various textures and flavors all in one. So, a nice place to get vegan sushi in Cranford. And if you go to NYC, I super highly recommend Beyond Sushi, a fully vegan restaurant offering “gourmet” sushi experience. Minds and taste buds of both vegans and non-vegans are guaranteed to be blown away. That would be a Michelin-star grade experience.“
“This sushi spot is a gem with its creative menu featuring interestingly named rolls. My go-to is the Green Dragon Roll, filled with crispy shrimp tempura and cucumber, topped with thinly sliced avocado, roe, and eel sauce—the perfect balance of sweetness. I always end up asking for an extra side of eel sauce! My friend opted for the sushi sampler and was delighted with the variety, although the portion was so generous that she ended up taking half of it home. The service was great—quick and provided by a friendly, polite, and upbeat waitress. I've frequented this place both before the pandemic and the service has always been descent. While I haven't tried their hibachi events yet, I've overheard patrons enjoying themselves during these events on a couple of occasions. While I typically aim for 5-star reviews, I must provide an honest assessment to maintain transparency. The presence of tiny flies on 3/11/24 was concerning. Though I understand that flies are attracted to food, it detracted from my comfort and left me questioning the establishment's hygiene standards. They can swiftly resolve this issue by investing in fly traps. Additionally, receiving hot tea in a plastic cup raised safety concerns, as hot liquids can cause plastic to release harmful chemicals. Despite requesting a non-plastic alternative, none were available. I hope they consider investing in safer serving options, such as ceramic or porcelain mugs, to ensure the well-being of their patrons. If these issues are addressed, I would gladly revise my rating to 5 stars.“
“My daughter ordered from Millburn Poke Bowl today for delivery. The food arrived quickly. I had the sushi burrito....what great value for the money. The presentation is attractive; the burrito was packed in a lidded box that almost looked like a gift. It was packed full of vegetables and rice with very generous amounts of spicy and ahi tuna. They added just the right amount of dressing/sauce. I ate half for lunch and half for dinner. I would highly recommend Millburn Poke Bowl if you want delicious, fresh ingredients and a very generous amount of them.“
“Tokyo Hibachi in Springfield, NJ, is a really cool place. It’s got a mix of old Japanese style and modern vibes, making it a great spot for any kind of dinner. What’s really great about Tokyo Hibachi is how they stick to kosher food but still make it taste super delicious and authentic, just like traditional Japanese meals. Everything they serve is made with top-notch ingredients, and you can tell they put a lot of effort into making their food both look and taste amazing. The people working at Tokyo Hibachi are super nice and really good at their jobs. They make sure everyone is happy and gets what they need, especially when it comes to special food requirements.Tokyo Hibachi isn’t just a regular restaurant; it’s a place where they really care about keeping kosher while serving fantastic Japanese food. It’s a must-visit spot in Springfield, whether you live there or are just passing through.“
“I have been coming to this place since it opened. I order their food once a week and NEVER had nothing but wonderful meals from them. The go for the raw sushi. Staff is so warm and friendly! The food is fresh and always top quality!!!!! I will be ordering tomorrow!!!There were times I couldn’t order what I wanted because the chef will not work with the highest quality fish and I take that as the ultimate compliment to their customers.Sushi is seriously stunning here!“
“Editing my review since it's been a few years: this has easily become our new favorite spot for sushi, whether it be dining in or take out. The staff is always friendly, and everything is delicious and fresh. Just a note: the space inside is small, only a handful of tables.“
“The food is yummy every time. The portions are fair, and the poke bowl tastes really nice with a lot of food in it, the chicken special is also a great dish and I highly recommend this placeDietary restrictions: Can easily be a low sodium meal“
“The service was fast efficient and friendly. The ambiance was off because of the television that was broadcast 24 hour cable news. There were three chefs rolling sushi so our order of 5 rolls and 6 piece of sashimi came out in about 20 minutes. Not the most delicious or beautiful sushi I’ve eaten but a solid place I would come back to if I was in the neighborhood.“
“Overall a good hibachi experience. The restaurant offers a casual vibe and can be a bit loud. The service was great and attentive, including the hibachi performance it's. The food was good and the chef got everyone's order exactly as they wanted it. I gave the lychee mojito a try as that was a unique flavor I don't normally come by. It was pretty good, but the mango mojito was better, in my opinion. It's a little on the pricy side, but I would return to try some of the extensive menu offerings. :)“
“This has been our go to sushi spot- dine in or take out- for years. The fish is super fresh, the service is wonderful and they’re very accommodating. I often change the tuna lover roll to a salmon lover roll, which I think should be on the menu permanently! The tuna don and salmon don is the best deal around- and their salmon is like butter.I’ve tried a few few of their Thai and Chinese dishes and they were fine, but if I want that food I’ll go someplace else.“
“This place is a hidden gem in a relatively quiet area of South Plainfield. The staff is so nice, and the sushi and hibachi plates are delicious. Always high quality fish and never a disappointing meal. Wish I could eat here every week. Thank you Hana Sushi team!“
“Like their sushi(especially specialty ones). Usually, do takeout. My last takeout was delayed for 40 min(first time ever) due to absolute "customer jam". Usually, they are half empty when I order, this time, they were packed, and there was a line waiting too.So despite huge delay - still 5 stars.. They provided me a small table after it became available, brought some tea while I waited, and even added some extras while being absolutely apologetic for the whole issue. Have no hard feeling whatsoever - guys really try their very best.“
“I got the general tsao combo platter, scallion pancakes. Chicken lo mein. And spicy salmon roll. Super nice they offer sushi, it it’s good quality, as well as the other food. Chicken is not chewy or over cooked. All were excellent. Have eaten a few times here already. One of the fast Chinese take out places I’ve eaten at.Will continue to drive out of the way come back!“
“A great place for japanese food. There are many different options including sushi, sashimi, udon, bento boxes, teriyaki, tempura, katsu, etc.. Come hungary if you choose the all you can eat option!! The AYCE includes many types of rolls (including hand rolls), sashimi, tempura, katsu, and appetizers. The staff are friendly, and professional. Harusame has been a regular place to eat for me and my friends. As of 1/1/24 no more AYCE.“
“Fresh tasting fish and not overly cold. The specialty rolls were great as well. Kids loved everything and even fought over the last salmon sashimi. The portions are reasonable. We got in around 5:15 and it was empty at least on the main floor; there was a party on the second floor where the hibachi is. It's quiet on a Thursday night.“
“Very good music, restaurant was supposed to close 2:30, staff allowed us to stay until 3, we left earlier, but that was really nice. Ate raw fish for the first time, restaurant gave a good impression with the sushi lunch. Calming music was indeed calming. People keep yapping about how they don't greet customers, bro it's a Japanese restaurant, they don't always greet you needy Americans ???. Bet you've been to 5+ restaurants where they didn't greet and you still gave them 5 stars. (Also they greeted anyways ?)Kid-friendliness: Had a brother, staff interacted with him with ACTUAL INTEREST. Nice.“
“We ordered from Blue Wazabi many times and always enjoy their delicious sushi, but have not had the pleasure of eating at the restaurant until tonight. We walked in on a busy Saturday evening and the place was packed! We did not have a reservation and were seated at the bar. The dishes were all amazing as usual, but the service was truly impressive. Even though we waited for a while for our food, Wendy was very attentive and had a complimentary appetizer prepared for us. It was a great evening and I would highly recommend!“
“There are a few words to describe Sakae Sushi.FASTCONVENIENTDELICIOUSSakae ALWAYS satisfies the need for great Sushi. Being so close to home they are our go-to at any moment's notice! They can customize any dish and make it a point to provide excellent service to whomever walks in that door or places an order online/by phone! I've not had better in the area!!Keep up the excellence!!!“
“I visited Kona Grill on a bustling Saturday, eager to try them out based on recommendation from a friend. The night kicked off with a mixed bag of cocktails; the New Old Fashioned, revamped with Jim Beam Vanilla Whiskey, was a delightful twist on a classic, boasting a unique texture that impressed me. Similarly, "The Rum Drink" was an excellent summer refreshment—light yet satisfying. Unfortunately, not all drinks hit the mark. The Electric Lemonade was overly sour, reminiscent of Warheads candy, and the Cucumber Southside was dominated by an overpowering cucumber flavor that eclipsed its mojito roots.Appetizers were a similarly varied affair. The Chicken Satay was adequate though unremarkable compared to Thai versions elsewhere, and it suffered from a stingy portion of otherwise tasty peanut sauce. The Fire Dragon Roll, meant to dazzle with its flamed alcohol-infused sauce, ended up a disaster as the sushi absorbed too much of the vodka(?), significantly detracting from its enjoyment and effectively ruining the dish.Main courses painted a more positive picture. Although the 10oz Prime Rib, which I requested medium, arrived well-done, it was still enjoyable enough not to warrant a return to the kitchen. The star of the evening was undoubtedly the Macadamia Nut Chicken—a unique and flavorful dish with a wonderfully crunchy macadamia crust and a delectable sauce that both my companion and I found exceptional.Dessert was a high note on which to conclude our meal. We shared a slice of carrot cake, a perfect balance of flavors with just the right amount of sweetness, and mercifully free of raisins—a common pet peeve. It might just be the best carrot cake we’ve had in a restaurant.Service was exemplary and even a manger stopped by to see how everything was going and comped the carrot cake for us for the birthday. The interior was fine but the window seat we sat by had a lot of bird poop on the windows when lookout. Just made a note on that.Kona Grill offers some standout dishes, particularly in the main courses and desserts, the inconsistency in the starters and some drinks could be improved. The venue has potential for a great dining experience if it irons out these kinks.“
“Let me start by saying the porterhouse for two was cooked to perfection, the shrimp/calamari were so spectacular I could have ate two dishes by myself. The food was made even better by the superb service by our waiter Alexander. Next time I go here I will be requesting him as our server.“
“They were able to make my dish gluten free!!! And it was great!! They charred my chicken and broccoli with some chili flakes and it was yummy. Their lunch special was only $10-11 too which is pretty nice considering it came with a miso soup and it was a nice portion. And it was done fast too. I will be back :)“
“This place just does everything incredibly well. Food service decor it’s just top shelf all the way. A must visit if you’re visiting and if you’re from the area you probably already know. As an added plus they support local school PTO’s too. ❤️??“
“"Sakura Japanese Restaurant offers a delightful dining experience with its fresh fish dishes and attentive service. From succulent sushi to expertly crafted sashimi, each bite is a burst of flavor. The staff's warmth and efficiency ensure a memorable meal. A must-visit for lovers of authentic Japanese cuisine!"“
“Good food. Good service. Could do without the delivery people sleeping in the back I guess but whatever. Place is top quality.Vegetarian options: It's a pan Asian place. There's plenty of veg options though I rarely order that personally.Dietary restrictions: If you ask them to remove something they will.Kid-friendliness: There's a kida menu“
“can’t say enough good things about this place! the food is delicious, so fresh, and so well priced. today they gave us free pieces of kimbap to try, and they also gave us a discount. i recommend this place to anyone who’s looking for a great new sushi spot to try, you won’t regret “
“Jerusalem catered my son's Bris in Highland Park. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. David was a pleasure to work with and had great suggestions, and the worker who came to set up did a fantastic job. I would highly recommend them and would use them again in a heartbeat!“
“I wish I can upload some photo, but unfortunately we already ate everything before I even blinked ? I really love kimbap, so usually I took a sushi burrito with double tempura shrimp, oshinko, kale, cucumber and carrots, with some sweet and spicy sauce. And it always so good ? Today we tried the chicken baos as well, and I think we find our new faves ? So thank you Guys, you are great, always kind and fast with the orders You made the Inspiration Roll to my fave MOTOWN restaurant ?“
“I love Fan Bistro!!!!???? Best food in town. They might as well know me because of how often I order from them. The hibachi meals- disgusting (that’s slang for amazing) in other words, gods must’ve crafted this. The atmosphere is postmodern, with comfortable color and large brass buddha. I hate sushi but the tuna sushi is ?!! Soy sauce? More like girl boss!! Love this place, man. Just adore this food, on god; fax ong. One time I ordered chicken hibachi; got steak teriyaki. But hey, enjoyed it all the same.Vegetarian options: -Rice-Vegetable hibachi-all kinds of fried rice“
