I ordered the Combo Karpollo. The chaufa criollo was very well done, some of the best fried rice in Newark. The chicken was good, the skin was crispy and the meat was juicy, if not a little under seasoned. Typically I enjoy my french fries crispy but the temperature and cut of these fries was surprisingly good, especially paired with their fantastic green sauce.
I ordered the chaufa especial personal size which I easily split with my partner A very generous portion and 2 waters. Without tip that was about 20 dollars well worth it. When it came timetopay the young gentleman at the register tried to overcharge me for what I ordered by 8 dollars. The receipt read 30 dollars cash tendered beforei had even paid.
