Seafood is perfect, risotto is perfect- the duck is something you don't see on many menus and was incredible. Tonight they had venison which literally melted in my mouth Scallops perfectly seared, and then a lemon dessert and a chocolate ganache. You absolutely can not beat this for the price.“
“Took my mom to Papermill for the afternoon play with lunch prior at the Carriage House. It was a very nice afternoon for both of us. Nostalgic for my mom who used to frequent. We arrived 10 minutes before our reservation and were seating immediately. Sat in the room with the fireplace which was very nice. Our meal was delicious. The menu had a nice variety of options to please our palettes down to dessert. Service was personable and professional. Received meals promptly without feeling rushed. Had ample time for the quick walk to the theater. My mom uses a cane and needs time and assist so the environment was accommodating for maneuvering. Bathroom is located in the busy path of the kitchen but there doesn't seem any other option unless waiting till the theater but it's crowded to maneuver there so best at the Carriage House we felt. A memorable day for my mom and I.“

“I love the food and the service at Stone House. I was however disappointed on my last visit. We ordered an extra serving of bread and when we received the bill, we were charged 2x for it. We inquired about it and were told that it’s a valid charge to our check. I understand it for the second serving, however, for the first I’m confused about the charge since this was placed on our table upon arrival as if it were complementary. I will come back again, but as a returning customer, this felt wrong.“

The dishes weren't anything spectacular, hence, expect a home-cooked style meal but I did appreciate how classic and light they were (not overly greasy and dense). We ordered the crab/shrimp bisque that desperately needed salt/pepper. The taste of the broth tasted a bit too watered down for me despite the thick consistency. Caesar salad was a caesar salad. We also ordered the beef sliders, which tasted pretty average, again, nothing spectacular but still good. I ordered the rack of lamb as my main dish. It was cooked to temperature and very well. The sauce also complimented the lamb nicely. The mashed potatoes cried for salt and butter. My partner ordered the homemade parpadelle pasta, and it was good. The pasta was overcooked, but it's homemade pasta so that's fine. The sauce was very delicious in this dish and well seasoned.We didn't order dessert, but I had a feeling it would have made up for some of the off-seasoned food.The french martini I ordered when I arrived also wasn't prepared as a true french martini. There wasn't any foam, and it was served with a cherry, which they aren't typically served with and off in color, either due to the cherry or too much chambord. Still drank it though.Overall, we had a nice night and we may come back and give it another shot“
