1.7 stars. The only reason this place is around is simply because there are no other options in the gate area. The Cobb Salad is beyond weak. Little to no tomatoes, cucumbers came with the salad for the $16 charged. I would’ve been better off buying $16 worth of Doritos and candy bars. The boys’ Chicken Tenders were more like a kid’s meal. Save yourself the mass disappointment and buy chips and candy instead. $86 for dinner and we are all still hungry!
I recently visited The Unusual Place in Newark Airport before my flight to London and was dismayed by the poor service provided to their customers. The servers were consistently rude, making guests wait and ignoring them. Unfortunately, the quality of the food did not redeem the experience. It's disheartening that such a place exists, and I believe Newark Airport should consider taking action to replace it with an establishment that cares about its customers. Food was lukewarm. I got chicken tenders, the easiest food to get right but there was no crunch or warmth. My wife's sandwich didn't have the sauce it was supposed to have according to the menu. Waited 25 minutes before being able to order, one employee was good but the other didn't know what they were doing. The food ordering system didn't work, should've been able to order from our table. Unfortunately the only place to get food after security. Do yourself a favor and eat beforehand.
