“I tried the salta here — and it was great — but the lamb Fahsa? Oh my god. Absolutely incredible. Perfectly seasoned, rich, and so filling. The bread portion was exactly what it should be: generous enough to fully enjoy the dish the way it’s meant to be eaten.

As a non-Yemeni Middle Easterner, this was my first real experience with Yemeni food, and I was blown away. I was so impressed that I later tried a Fahsa at another Yemeni spot just to compare — and it wasn’t even close to what I had here.

The atmosphere here is phenomenal, but not in the overdone, “look at our décor” kind of way. They don’t rely on flashy visuals or gimmicks — you walk in, order your food, sit down, and the focus is entirely on the food and the experience. That’s how you know a place is truly good.

The service was also top-notch — friendly, attentive, and genuine. You really can’t get any better than that.

I live close by and i had been thinking of trying it out ever since it opened up and finally went today since it was free, and have to say I was impressed. It was delicious and well prepared. “We found Nafi Food Express truck in Philly at 34th and Market 8 years ago when my son was craving Indian food after a very long and scary hospitalization at CHOP for RSV. We've loved it ever since! The meat is tender and tasty, the salad is spectacular and the owner is very nice and personable. Most importantly to us, the cart is clean and the owner is proud of his history of cleanliness. If you love Indian food this is THE place to get it. We would rather have this as a treat than some of the fancy Indian restaurants we've tried including Tiffin and Ekta and New Delhi. Plus, the amount of food is fantastic in size.“

“We came across this place while we were in Philly last month,July. We were looking for a place to dine. It was our first time with Mediterranean cuisine. Positive ambience as soon as we walk in, our server ‘s name ELIF ( hope i remember it right)guided as through with menu selection and showed the best costumer service . I appreciated the complimentary bread and the hummus while waiting for the entree.I love the taste of it as freshly baked from the oven. Food portions are just right. The price is also decent. “I have recently become a frequent customer of Al Baraka and Falafel king next door. The market has quality meat selection for great prices and I prefer it to other grocery stores. The owners are some of the kindest people I have ever met. Abu Tata is always generous in helping me pick products! Abu Said has gone out of his way to make me a special order of knafeh (kunafa) which has become my new favorite dessert in the world! I have since tried it from other shops and restaurants but no where makes it as good as Al Baraka! I recommend everyone stop in and shop around and try something different! And definitely try the knafeh because it is out of this world!“

“I visited the truck during my lunch break to pick up lunch for me and my mother. We both got the chicken over rice with the salad. The man in the truck was very nice and personable. The person in front of me ordered six plates, and he served them promptly. When it was my turn order, he greeted me warmly and served the food fairly quickly. The food is delicious and the portions are great, the meal comes with a drink as well. it's a plentiful serving because I only ate half for dinner and had the other half the next day for lunch and it was just as delicious. I think overall, you can't beat the delectable taste with the price. 10/10“

“Visiting family in Philly and wanted to try a halal Philly Cheesesteak. Had some In The Uk with varied quality. Saad’s is way way ahead. Big, juicy, very very tasty. Reasonably priced, staff are lovely. Place is set up like a diner and kept very very clean. We are here a few times during our trip, tried others but had to come back. Eat j. And takeaway service is good. My recommendations. Cheesesteak with mushrooms, kofta hoagie. Had a chat with Saad, nice guy. Looked after us.“

“The platters are GENEROUS. They should rename this place Crown King Kareem. Delicious platters. I like the chaat too. Burger was eh. The platters are where it’s at my friends. Don’t sleep on the platters. The price is so cheap and the rice to meat ratio is the reverse of what you would expect. You’ll be looking for more rice in your platter, just drowning in meat. You might get sick of how delicious and plentiful the chicken and lamb are, but I don’t!“

“This is fresh and hot , great chicken and rice with 2 kinds of rice , I eat this every day, all food is cooked and sourced by the owner and his brother chicken is fresh and not little red squares like premade stuff , he cooks and cuts chicken right in front of you , there’s a big lineup every day so it’s best to call in your order for quick in and out , if you like fish , his is out of this world good , can’t wait for deliver so just call and go get it , tell him (Kahn) that mike sent you for extras on your order , try this if you like spicy food or just good food quickly“

“Got me some chicken and a few beef patties. The store was clean and organized. The staff was very nice and funny. He had me and my wife laughing. The food was good n hot he made us some fresh patties and two extra chicken wings. All the service was good . No problems here“
