“Found this place towards the end of our summer rental in Manasquan. What a great find! we watched the Rutgers game and talked to Elise the bartender for quite a while. She was so nice! burgers were awesome. met a couple up for the week from Florida who frequent the Rail every year. we will definitely be back next summer! Highly recommend this local pub.“

“A must when in Monmouth County. Thin, pastry like crust that has the perfect crisp, antipasta chopped or not, New England clam chowder to rival Boston. It is always busy and filled with both regulars and Bennies, anyone who manages to find this hidden gem along the Route 35 bridge by Belmar, will keep coming back. If you're bold, take their t-shirt challenge and eat an XL Pie to go home with pride.“

“Fun place to watch sports. If you are not a fan of loud places then this is not your spot. Recommend take out. My husbands burger was very good. Tasted fresh and delicious. The black bean patty was just okay. Could have been cooked better in the middle but was decent. The French fries are the best. Always a good time. Crispy and flavorful!“

“Stopped at Val's Tavern because we had a 2 hour gap between a wedding and reception. Service was excellent and so was the food. Our server, Gabby, went above and beyond when we needed some Tylenol. HIGHLY recommend Val's!“

“Solid pub/bar fare. You can't really go wrong with anything here, it's all just pretty damn good, but won't blow you away either. Let's be honest, you aren't walking into this place looking for a Michelin star quality meal, you want some wings, maybe a burger, and a few beers and yeah, you're gonna be very satisfied with what you get. 👍“

“I'm giving you five stars because that's what you deserve and frankly what you've earned. The staff is great, Meg is great, Dylan is great and there is another bartender with an unusual name, I think starts with an I and I apologize...my memory is just shifty anymore, you told me your name at least twice already, and I'm sorry....she's great also. This place is an oasis if you're waiting for a bus.
I just have one problem. I'm not some dumb kid. I know how bars can be. But there were these drunk, aggresive Hispanic guys, screaming and howling and being rude and aggressive. Can't the bartender ask 'em to leave? People who can't control their behavior, especially when they drink, don't belong with people who just want to get lunch and relax before the bus comes.“
“The food is only average, but the service was exceptional. Sandy, our server, was so warm and welcoming she really made our time special. We have been here several times over the past few years and this is the most fun we had (even though we couldn't win a race).“

Stopped in on tge way home from a event.
The one thing about chain restaurants is they all look the same and the menu are relatively the same. Which is a good thing. But tgey should allow them the opportunity to have 2 or 3 menu item that are independent from cooperate and their sister restaurants.
Mimi was exceptional with her service. Along with smile and ability to read people.
Our food was all typical for Applebee's. The exception here was that tha manager walked around to each table and asked about the food and service .
Atmosphere, hey cooperate. It's time to change a few things around and clean up the look.
This place is children friendly and parking is plentiful along with handicapped friendly.“
