I've been loving this brand of Greek lifestyle flatbread for our gyros lately, it's the softest I've found. Yesterday around 4pm (3.10.23) I bought a bag dated 3-27-23 for our dinner this weekend. My son just got it out and it has a huge dark green mold spot on the side of all the bread. Not happy at all.Eta- Kontos responded promptly and resolved the issue. However it still ruined our dinner and cost me money as I'm not near a store and already had our meat meat thawed & prepped....read full review
I frequently buy Kontos flatbread. They taste great and have a good nutritional profile. They have become a staple in my diet. Lately though, their bread has been going bad weeks before the expiration date. Today is February 20th and the flatbread I purchasde two days ago has already gone bad. It had an expiration date of March 12th. See attached photo. I use to buy in bulk but now I only buy one or two of their products at time. This has been a staple in my home for the past 2 years. However within the last 2 months every package we buy either has mold on it when get home to put the groceries away, or is riddled with mold only after 2 days. Seems as though there is moisture in the package on the shelf. We returned a few to the store with no problem only to find the ones on the shelf had mold as well. Hopefully they fix the problem.
