In the Phillipsburg S Main St area and so, we decided to stop into the steak shop to order some food. Thank you Sara for answering my questions and Red, for grilling the steak and preparing the food. That special sauce, Joe's red sauce is gold. It's the juice that elevates the steak sandwich that heightens the taste buds and mine was HOT red so it was extra special. Visited for the first time today but I did my homework. So the sauce isn't for everyone. When in Rome so I ordered the pepper steak hot no onions. Very tasty but I'd never order cheese with that sauce - too ketchupy. Peppers,steak, bread, sauce. That's it. Delicious. Sauce or not, I can vouch for the quality of the steak and bread. Nice photos of the Champ Holmes with the owner above the corner table.

Best Philly cheesesteak in the state of New Jersey! Great service with a smile, oh and the food, it’s great food!!! They make their own homemade sauce and their milkshakes bring all the boys because they make them the old fashion way. Joe steak shop actually uses Hershey ice cream! Can I get any better than this? I submit that it cannot. I don’t have a picture because I already ate it.
