“Been here a bunch of times. Today I ordered ahead the mother's day catering special. They accommodated my gluten free and dairy free needs. I got half tray of penne pomodoro, half tray of grilled chicken with peppers, onions and potatoes, a large house salad, broccoli rabe with sausage and a bag of dinner rolls. In total, it came to just over $88. Food was great, not heavy at all, fresh ingredients. There was a rude, obnoxious woman complaining about waiting for 30 minutes, causing a scene. But to be fair, I waited almost 40 minutes, and there were 7 other people waiting too. They were slammed being a holiday with several catering orders.

“Been a while since we went to Axton’s, but my wife and I will be celebrating 30 years this week, we thought we’d start with a fine dinner WTH Chef Anton. Early on a Sunday during the summer was far from their busy time, so we had a chance to chat. For starters, we shared an apple mango salad. Shame on me for not reading the menu. The dressing is apple mango. Home made! I was looking for mango in the salad. Apple, craisins, two kinds of cheese…. Perfect for a hot July day. My wife ordered the shrimp marinara over spinach instead of pasta. Delicious and even more impressive was that the shrimp had their tails removed. A great touch. The piece de resistance was my scallop special. Scallops topped with Crabcake coating topped with bacon. Served over a bed of spinach with cherry tomatoes and more. My wife called it spectacular. I thought it was a taste of heaven. Couldn’t figure out one taste in the sauce. Originally thought mango, but there was none in the salad. Had to ask if it was peach? Mango was the winner. The dish was a bigger winner!“

“Excellent place, I have pretty much given up on buying lunch out because the disappointment ratio has become so high but today I decided to give it another try and just deal with the disappointment of another overpriced less than good sandwich. I work all over northern NJ and it has become very hard to find a real Italian deli however, today I stopped into Angelina's and although I already knew what I wanted I decided to ask what they recommend incase there was a special or maybe they have a best seller. They recommended "the Salvatore" which was exactly what I was after. The sandwich was the correct size and packed full of cold cuts. They didn't do the usual "let's keep making the product smaller but charge more" that you see everywhere. They make a true sandwich and charge a reasonable price. if you look up Italian deli in the dictionary there should be a picture of Angelina's its exactly what anyone who is over 40 years old remembers as a true New Jersey Deli. Thank you for a great lunch! I can't wait to get another job in that area so I can stop in!“

“Matthew 's Restaurant is 1 of the best restaurants in North NJ if NOT The Best. The food is always Delicious & Service is excellent. Beyond that, the atmosphere or aviance is excellent. The vibe & energy is first rate positive fun & culinary enjoyment. I believe that this fine dining experience is also driven by the owner Matthew who is usually in the restaurant greeting guests & helping out. When you visit Matthew's you'll have a great time and it'll feel like you're on mini-vacation from the stress of every day life while seemingly enjoying the warmth of family. “We had my daughters baby shower here yesterday. The food was absolutely amazing! The manager Sam was extremely easy to work with long distance (I live in Pennsylvania). The wait staff were very friendly and attentive . I would highly recommend this place for a private party.“

“From the moment we walked in, the host greeted us like old friends and walked us right to our table — I instantly had a good feeling, and I was right. Our server was awesome — super friendly, knew the menu inside out, and was on top of everything all night.

The menu is classic Italian but with a twist — way more interesting than your standard North Jersey Italian spot. The ossobuco was fantastic (if I had to nitpick, I’d say the risotto could’ve used a touch less water and a heavier hand with the parm). The clams were fresh and baked to perfection, and my son devoured his ravioli. For dessert, the bread pudding was absolutely unreal — honestly worth the trip alone.

“Had a surprise birthday party here for my sister in law. The staff, including Brianna and Jasmine were fantastic. They were so accommodating with our requests and the service and food were on point! We were able to arrive early to decorate our party area that already looked very nice without our decorations. We picked off their standard party menu but they had no problem tweaking it to our requests. Last minute requests for pasta and butter for kids was no problem. We have already placed a deposit for my daughter's bridal shower for next year. Also..BYOB!!!“

My friend loves the Lasagna, various Chicken dishes and this time, she said the Orechiette alla Maria was so delicious! We've been starting with the Hot Antipasto for Two to get a taste of varied favorites (but they let us substitute NO mussels for extra clams). The Caesar Salad is always crisp and tasty. The service is outstanding and friendly with ample busboys delivering the extras and cleaning the table. My better half, however, is a boy from Brooklyn, who is Italian by osmosis & loves to eat it out of the home. For his birthday we wanted to go somewhere special. We did! LuNello ranks up there as one of our favorite Italian Restaurants EVER… From the valet staff, to the maitre D, hostesses & waitstaff, to the ambiance… and the FOOD. There are basic dishes on the menu but so many interesting & varied plates that I was blown away! Everything we ate, from appys, to main courses, and dessert (famous bread pudding) were the best!“

“My friend and I are always looking for new restaurants to try and keep a log of places we see on Facebook or Instagram. Casa Nostra was next on our list to try and we were not disappointed.
The place is small and cozy, we called to see if we could get a reservation since it was a Saturday evening, they were able to accommodate us at 7:30. When we arrived we did not have to wait to be seated, the table was ready. The server provided us with menus and asked if we needed our bottle of wine to be opened. Server came back with bread for us and apologized that they were unable to warm it, explained and apologized that they were having issues with the bread warmer. The bread was fine as it was. The owner (chef) came out to take our orders we ordered the special fig appetizer to share, the portion was certainly large enough for 2 people and was very good. For entrees we had the Shrimp Risotto and Lobster Ravioli both were extremely good and nice sized portions. We were too full for dessert. One nice thing about this restaurant was that they did not rush you - there was adequate time between receiving the appetizer and entree which I thoroughly enjoyed as many times the entrees come out way too close to the appetizers. I will definitely be returning again.“

“My wife and I enjoy trying new pizza spots, though lately it’s been pretty lackluster in our search. Tino’s may be my new favorite pizza in the Montclair area. We ordered a Molisana and an American (with a standard amount of red sauce). Both were excellent, but the fact that the standard cheese pie was as solid as it was says a lot about their pizza. Definitely excited for our next order.“

“I’ve lived in Clifton for 25 years. I’ve been eating at all the Clifton local gems for a good 18 years. Clifton is known for its amazing Italian food. With that being said not a single restaurant comes near taste of Tuscany in Clifton when it comes to Italian cuisine. From the chicken Panini that I literally have every day for lunch, grilled chicken and penne, vodka pasta to the margarita slice and the buffalo chicken slice, All the food is top-tier delicacy. I recommend this place to all!!“

“First of all, it is cute and cozy, but not dark or cramped. It's a house that has been converted to a restaurant. First of all they have complimentary valet, so bring a few bucks to tip! The service is upscale, think fine dining light, i.e. give you fresh utensils each course, crumb your table, friendly but subdued.

If you like cocktails, try one of their cocktails, they're really beautifully balanced, well done! I had the over the hill. I would have another one no hesitation.
The courses are generous without being overwhelming.
I really liked what I had. The intros were good, but the pasta was the best. I love that they do the pasta truly al dente. If you like mushy pasta, that is not what you're gonna get here. I got the mushroom ragu with callabresselli pasta, one, two it includes hen of the woods mushroom. I haven't seen usually foraged mushrooms on a restaurant dish in a long time.So if you're into that, you should try it.
