“We have been to Made in Italy many times during all of the ownership changes. We have been for dinner, had graduation parties and gone for dessert only. We were so happy to hear that it was open at night again. My husband recently had knee replacement and was itching to get out. We decided to go for coffee/dessert at Made in Italy. He struggled to get in the car and out when we arrived. It was 8:30 Saturday night when they close at 10. There were over 15 tables open - we asked to be seated for coffee and dessert only to be told they don’t do that. They wouldn’t seat us - they gave us their card and told us to check the menu when we got home- which we did. The second paragraph of the website says - stop by just to have a cup of our gourmet coffee. They had many tables open and preferred to turn us away. Needless to say - we will not be going back.“

I am only holding back from giving 5 star on atmosphere because I can't promote the Graffiti of Tony Soprano with a cigarette burning in the hand. The visual is not cool to me. Takes away from a family touch that it could have been. Also lacking recycling options. Sad to see so many soda bottles getting trashed.“

Our meals were absolutely delicious. I had the Butternut Squash Soup and King Salmon with Beurre Blanc with Sundried Tomatoes and my husband had the Scallops with Angel Hair. Nice experience and highly recommend!“

My only warning is - if you come for dinner, especially on a weekend, be ready to wait. It's free seating so there's lots of groups standing around waiting for a table to open up. The real bottleneck seems to be their pizza oven. We got our meal almost immediately except for the pizza - had to awkwardly wait for 20 additional minutes as people eyed our table.“

Since they opened, we've hosted multiple family events here—a bridal shower, a rehearsal dinner, and two family repasts—and every single time, they have delivered above and beyond our expectations. Brian and his team consistently hit it out of the park with their outstanding food and top-notch service. They are incredibly accommodating, taking the time to understand our needs, including navigating food allergies and diverse preferences.

For each event, they worked with us to create special, unique menus that impressed all of our guests. Even when we requested custom dishes and cocktails that weren’t on the menu, they went out of their way to make it happen. They provided ample time for us to set up and personalize each event, and the staff was always helpful, ensuring that every detail was just right. We were able to arrive early to decorate our party area that already looked very nice without our decorations. “We had our daughters 18th Birthday Bash here at the Appian Way on: February 5th, 2022. We dealt with Bob throughout the whole process. And he was just great! Alot is included in the price you receive. And many other venues don't compare when it comes to price. Helping to save you some money along the way. The rooms are beautiful and my guest were amazed. The workers were accommodating and helped get our room together way before time. This helped us tremendously with getting most of the setup being done the night before. The lighting is awesome. The food was absolutely delicious. My guests are still raving about the food. It really was better than I expected. I will definitely be back to celebrate more gatherings. “Our group of six were sat inside the main room. The decor is beautifully decorated with a welcoming atmosphere. We had a mix of specials and menu items. The appetizers and dinners were delicious full servings. The dessert plate offered a mouth watering selection. The friendly owner came to the table twice to explain the specials, and to make sure that everything was good with our meals. Our table was well attended to by servers, and the byob service allows for a great meal at a very reasonable price. I look forward to returning to try the outdoor seating when the weather is cooler. This is by far one of the best restaurants in Ridgewood.“
