“I came across Palo de Azucar while I was in Trenton on business. I was looking for a spot where they sold not only quality coffee, but tasty brunch as well. If you're interested or already enjoy Spanish food, this is the place! The quality of coffee did not disappoint, but what stood out most of all was the food. I ordered a Dirty Chai Latte with Oat Milk and a California burger, simply delicious (ask for it cooked at a lower temperature if you like medium!) My mother ordered from the International Treats, and this is by far what took the spotlight for us. We had the Beef Colombian Empanadas and were beyond impressed, from the freshness of the food all the way to each and every flavor of the well-seasoned beef. The empanadas are crunchy/crispy on the outside, and every ingredient on the inside is hot flavorful. The Alcapurrias were a show stopper as well, the outside being fried Yucca and the inside beef. The service was quick, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the prices were comfortable and fair. I don't go out to eat much, but today I treated myself (and my daughter 💕) to their spicy Tonkotsu ramen, and it was hands down one of the BEST bowls I've ever had in my life! 🤯🔥 The broth was so rich and flavorful, with just the right amount of spice that totally cleared up my stuffy nose and warmed my soul. “I can't speak for the other reviewers who said the pho was bland or premade. Sounds like a hater to be honest! I really enjoyed my meals at V-Town and the woman who worked at the register was very nice and friendly. So here's my review from an uncultured American:

Dining Experience:
V-Town's aesthetic has some cute wall decorations and the latest point of sale technology for paying with card or cash. However, the tables and chairs are typical of chinese takeout places. So this isn't a place with super fancy decorations or mood lighting, it's functional with some music in the background, cool wall decorations, and of course you have to have the toy cat that waves.

There is not a lot of staff here, which makes it seem like this is a very small operation. But the people who are working there clearly work very hard.

The Food:
So, I actually discovered V-Town on Doordash and it was super cold out so I wanted something to warm me up. I got the pho with the well done flank steak. Once on doordash and when I went in person.

When you order the pho, all of your veggies will arrive on a separate plate. So, you can choose to add as much or as little as you want. In some other places like Bravo Pho in PA, I believe everything comes in the bowl all at once.

Regardless, the flavor of the broth was wonderful, warm. The flank steak was succulent, and the vegetables tasted fresh. For my wife, this was her first time trying Vietnamese food so I got her the Banh Mi sandwich.

She loved the freshness of the carrots and cucumbers and really enjoyed the flavor of the pork protein. Also, I did get a brown sugar boba tea which my wife kept stealing from me.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my meals from V-Town and look forward to introducing more friends and family to this place.“

“A bright spot on some tough days - I was going back and forth visiting my dad at Princeton U. Hospital for a few weeks, and stopped here several times for coffee or breakfast. I drove in early from PA and appreciated that they opened at 6:30am. Rare to find such a homespun mom and pop type place these days- just really simple and cosy, and the pastries, sandwiches and coffee are excellent. They have a cute porch with a few seats, and a little bistro table under a nearby tree. It was the perfect place to have lunch on a nice day as a much-needed break from sitting in a hospital room.“

Throughout my travels, I have never felt compelled to share my thoughts on any of my normally eventless excursions. This time however, something touched me like never before. I walked in and instantly, I was transcended to another realm. My mind suddenly cleared as I was welcomed warmly, the atmosphere calming and the service was superb. “We had a wonderful experience at Paris Baguette! We bought to go boxes of coffee for the staff at a local school. Eli and Sarah were so helpful preparing my order. Eli even helped me bring the coffee to my car. My kids and I went back later that day to grab some treats and everything was delicious. They even gave my kids a free hot chocolate! I enjoyed a lovely chat with Manager Bri, who was super helpful and personable. The menu was much more exciting than a typical coffee shop & offered great breakfast, brunch and lunch food and drink options.

Loved the fun decor, expansive community bulletin board, support for local artists and craftsman, and info on local nature walks and attractions.

I’ll surely be back every Saturday while I’m on Mommy-Uber duty in the Montgomery/Hopewell area! Look forward to trying their famous frittatas next time.

I appreciate the seating variety — tables and chairs for 2-4 to eat, couches to lounge, high chairs with a window view for solo remote laptop work, or outdoor seating on the back patio for fresh air. Sometimes the music is good and sometimes they have movies playing on the tv. I’ve also seen a well-behaved pup pup, indoors. It’s a chill environment to get work done, the service is good, and there’s plenty of parking but often busy/full.“

“What a truly wonderful experience it was coming here. This nice young lady that works there was very polite. There was a bit of traffic building up in there behind me, but she was very patient with me as I surely took quite a while to order a few things for my family members. Everything was clean, and freshly organized. She even made sure to reassure me that the utensils were all cleaned properly because I tend to get a bit skeptical due to the possibility of cross contamination. The ice cream quality was great! Much better than most other places in this area. I never asked for that young lady’s name but she wore a lot of bracelets, and had black nails just like my daughter, which I complemented! “Great boba! A lot of milk tea doesn’t even taste of tea, but this spot does it right. The boba is perfectly supple and flavorful too, plenty of chew not over cooked or under. I went here 3 times and the service was fast and the boba quality was perfectly consistent the entire week. Would highly recommend for a quick grab brown sugar boba milk tea. I tried the Japanese dessert place next door for the same drink and it was disappointing in most dimensions compared to Kung Fu Tea.“
