“I came across Palo de Azucar while I was in Trenton on business. I was looking for a spot where they sold not only quality coffee, but tasty brunch as well. If you're interested or already enjoy Spanish food, this is the place! The quality of coffee did not disappoint, but what stood out most of all was the food. I ordered a Dirty Chai Latte with Oat Milk and a California burger, simply delicious (ask for it cooked at a lower temperature if you like medium!) My mother ordered from the International Treats, and this is by far what took the spotlight for us. We had the Beef Colombian Empanadas and were beyond impressed, from the freshness of the food all the way to each and every flavor of the well-seasoned beef. The empanadas are crunchy/crispy on the outside, and every ingredient on the inside is hot flavorful. The Alcapurrias were a show stopper as well, the outside being fried Yucca and the inside beef. The service was quick, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the prices were comfortable and fair. I don't go out to eat much, but today I treated myself (and my daughter 💕) to their spicy Tonkotsu ramen, and it was hands down one of the BEST bowls I've ever had in my life! 🤯🔥 The broth was so rich and flavorful, with just the right amount of spice that totally cleared up my stuffy nose and warmed my soul. Everything was fresh and perfect – it hit EVERY spot! Such a fun mommy-daughter outing too. If you're in the area, you HAVE to try this place! Highly recommend!! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐“

“I can't speak for the other reviewers who said the pho was bland or premade. Sounds like a hater to be honest! I really enjoyed my meals at V-Town and the woman who worked at the register was very nice and friendly. So here's my review from an uncultured American:

Dining Experience:
V-Town's aesthetic has some cute wall decorations and the latest point of sale technology for paying with card or cash. However, the tables and chairs are typical of chinese takeout places. So this isn't a place with super fancy decorations or mood lighting, it's functional with some music in the background, cool wall decorations, and of course you have to have the toy cat that waves.

There is not a lot of staff here, which makes it seem like this is a very small operation. But the people who are working there clearly work very hard.

The Food:
So, I actually discovered V-Town on Doordash and it was super cold out so I wanted something to warm me up. I got the pho with the well done flank steak. Once on doordash and when I went in person.

When you order the pho, all of your veggies will arrive on a separate plate. So, you can choose to add as much or as little as you want. In some other places like Bravo Pho in PA, I believe everything comes in the bowl all at once.

Regardless, the flavor of the broth was wonderful, warm. The flank steak was succulent, and the vegetables tasted fresh. For my wife, this was her first time trying Vietnamese food so I got her the Banh Mi sandwich.

She loved the freshness of the carrots and cucumbers and really enjoyed the flavor of the pork protein. Also, I did get a brown sugar boba tea which my wife kept stealing from me.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my meals from V-Town and look forward to introducing more friends and family to this place.“

“A bright spot on some tough days - I was going back and forth visiting my dad at Princeton U. Hospital for a few weeks, and stopped here several times for coffee or breakfast. I drove in early from PA and appreciated that they opened at 6:30am. Rare to find such a homespun mom and pop type place these days- just really simple and cosy, and the pastries, sandwiches and coffee are excellent. They have a cute porch with a few seats, and a little bistro table under a nearby tree. It was the perfect place to have lunch on a nice day as a much-needed break from sitting in a hospital room.“

“Came in for dinner and ordered the Forbidden Salmon — Nordic sustainable salmon over organic forbidden rice with a massaged kale quinoa salad, roasted carrot and beet, spicy cashew crunch, and miso maple sauce. Fantastic dish. Everything tasted fresh and well put together.

The chocolate chip cookie was excellent — do not skip it. Kombucha selection was solid, service was attentive, and the pricing is reasonable for the quality you're getting. Would definitely come back.“

“Caramel iced lattes are usually my go-to. Theirs are good and I even tried one of their protein drinks with caramel, which did not disappoint either. My favorite thing is the atmosphere. I appreciate the seating variety — tables and chairs for 2-4 to eat, couches to lounge, high chairs with a window view for solo remote laptop work, or outdoor seating on the back patio for fresh air. Sometimes the music is good and sometimes they have movies playing on the tv. I’ve also seen a well-behaved pup pup, indoors. It’s a chill environment to get work done, the service is good, and there’s plenty of parking but often busy/full.“

“Great boba! A lot of milk tea doesn’t even taste of tea, but this spot does it right. The boba is perfectly supple and flavorful too, plenty of chew not over cooked or under. I went here 3 times and the service was fast and the boba quality was perfectly consistent the entire week. Would highly recommend for a quick grab brown sugar boba milk tea. I tried the Japanese dessert place next door for the same drink and it was disappointing in most dimensions compared to Kung Fu Tea.“

“It's a coffee shop inside Whole Foods. Never seems too busy not that they moved it to a corner in the bakery section. Lots of options. You either have to leave with your drink or carry it around with your while you shop.
