I've always passed by this place on Nassau Street, but I've only recently gotten to try it. The squid ink paella was pretty good, and a solid portion size for two. I think my favorite part was the juice-only sangria - even though it's pricey, you get a sizable jug with generous fruit cubes and they leave space if you want to add your own wine. We just returned a week from Spain and we want to remember a little bit from Spain so we decided to go to Despana. Date night spot with some delicious food. Our server was actually the manager Marta she was very knowledgeable about everything on the menu. If you have any request Ask for her. We got the best service! We went to Despaña with some neighborhood friends. It was a nice time. Fresh food. Service was great. Desserts were DEELISH. Try the potatas bravas, jumbo scallops and the tarta de limon.
