Pasar Malam, formerly known as Penang, has undergone a positive transformation with improved interior decor and better service. The menu remains relatively the same, offering delicious dishes like Roti Telur, Thai Basil Noodle, and Kari Mee with Redang Chicken. The staff is attentive, and the use of normal wooden chopsticks is appreciated. While the Roti Canai appetizer is a favorite with flavorful curry sauce, the beef pad thai and mee siam entrees are tasty, though the beef can be chewy. The shrimp in the mee siam is fresh and clean. However, the fried ice cream dessert fell short with a grainy crust and lacking vanilla flavor. Despite this, Pasar Malam provides a pleasant dining experience with room for improvement on certain dishes.
