There's an upstairs and a downstairs if you want a more low-key vibe. Stuff were very accommodating and helpful.
Service and atmosphere is great and perfect for downtown Princeton. I was unable to try anything but chardonnay and charcuterie board
We tried a light lunch at Triumph on Father’s Day. It was far from an enjoyable experience. The setting is lovely, and my extended family had arrived and were seated prior to our arrival. Triumph Restaurant & Brewery offers a variety of food and drinks in a relaxed, lounge-like atmosphere. Guests can enjoy a good selection of appetizers, vegetarian options, and specially prepared meals like steak fritas. The food generally receives positive feedback, with some noting that the fries are very good and the fish and chips are decent, though the batter can be thick. The drinks, including specialty cocktails and wines like pinot noir and sour pomegranate, are highly praised and made perfectly.
The staff is friendly and attentive, with bartenders and servers providing knowledgeable and patient service, especially helpful for guests with specific dietary needs such as celiac disease. The downstairs/bar area is a popular spot for groups or casual nights out, often offering walk-in seating without reservations. However, some guests find the service slightly overbearing or note that the music and noise levels can be a bit loud.
While many visitors enjoy their experience and would return, there have been some issues. One guest had a disappointing visit due to poor quality lamb and feeling dismissed without a reservation, leading to plans not to return. Overall, Triumph Restaurant & Brewery is appreciated for its good food, drinks, and friendly atmosphere, but the experience can vary, and prices are considered high for the value.
