“Creepy Uncle Dave here. Today I went to the Tex Mex Deli in Edison. The food was amazing! I tried a burrito that was out of this world. Apparently this was a new entry to their already sprawling menu. My boss once told me that if I never step out of my comfort zone and try something new I will never taste success. At the time I was pretty sure the only success I was going to taste was the sweat from my forehead seeing as he wanted me to dig a 200 foot trench by hand. Anyway, this was a shredded chicken burrito stuffed to the hilt with chicken, rice and beans, then smothered with MOLE, MOLE, MOLE sauce. Sorry, if you know you know. My coworker had the birria tacos that looked equally amazing. They must have been good seeing as he didn’t even offer a taste. This isn’t a white tablecloth establishment but the food definitely has potential. I’m sold! I’m definitely coming back and I think you should check this place out too. Tell them I sent ya!

“Today, while visiting Springfield for work, I stumbled upon an amazing Latin American restaurant. It was undoubtedly the best Latin American restaurant I've tried recently. My partner and I had burritos and fajitas, and they were delicious. Although I don't live in this area, I was so impressed that despite being full, I ordered more food to take away. The staff were also friendly, making our day even more enjoyable. I am grateful for the pleasant experience and would highly recommend this restaurant.“

“I grew up in Texas and enjoyed this authentic beef taco bowl for a casual and affordable dinner in Newark. The owner and staff clearly put their hearts into each ingredient in the bowl which comes together as a Tex-Mex festival of flavors.

Kid-friendliness: Saw a mother and daughter there. Lots of teenagers were eating there as well.“

“This place had great reviews about being authentic and they are very good. I ordered the short rib Birria Tacos and they were delicious. Corn tortillas taco was on point with spicy sauces on the side. I will be ordering from them again. My only critique the dipping sauce came in a styrofoam cup, and that’s why I gave 4 ⭐️’s but it is a 5. It would be nice if they used paper containers instead. ??????

“We had a great meal at LaColina Mexican Cantina. We got seated pretty quick but we did get there by 6… got a little more crowded at 7 on a Saturday night. Food options were great as well as the drinks. Atmosphere was great also and there was a good amount of people there on a Saturday night. Just one down side… I don’t like that they automatically add on 20% tip on the bill. Tip should be based on great service and at the customers discretion.“

Will definitely make this my new Spanish go to restaurant. The Salvadorian Chicken Tamale was moist and dense, and the flavors mixed perfectly together. If you order the beef empanadas, ask them for their new homemade hot sauce. It's a perfect blend of sweet & heat to go with the pastry dough. Their plantains were a good addition of sweet to the dense of the meal. Their flan was the perfect size for a nice ending dessert to a very filling meal. Definitely a highly recommended place to get an excellent and very affordable meal.“

“Stopped by for a quick takeout lunch. I had the cecina tacos. 4, 2-bite double corn tortillas packed with meat and topped with onions, cilantro, and avacado. It was served with cucumbers and lime with salsa verde and roja on the side. It was a huge flavor bomb and took just 5 minutes to make. The tacos and a bottle of water came to just over $15. Totally worth the wait.

“this place is UNREAL. I started coming here a few years ago when I started college over at Middlesex. I’ve since then transferred and graduated and still make the trip out there 2-3 times a month. This is my absolute favorite birria place. i’ve tried 5-6 other places and NONE are as good as this one. This birria has such a unique flavor and you can tell there’s a lot that goes into it. They focus a lot on it since it’s the main menu item. I always get the tacos. the horchata is also incredible and the churros are fantastic. Please NEVER CHANGE THE RECIPE! This is the only good birria spot around!

Also, the owner is so kind. She wrote a get well note for my mom on her order. I had mentioned that had been sick.
