“It’s funny that some of the reviews here complain about servers not speaking English...it’s an actual authentic Mexican restaurant what do you expect? The menus are in both English and Spanish and have descriptions if you are not familiar with Mexican food. I love this place and you really can’t beat the prices. The food is great and I always wind up taking some home (maybe because I fill up on all the chips and salsa they give before the meal).“

“This is my go-to Taco Bell...hands down! Not only is Terrance outstanding in customer service, but other drive thru staff as well. They are always quite helpful to assist with special orders. Favorites are the Hash Brown and Egg & Cheese breakfast burritos, as well as Chicken Quesadilla and Chicken/Rice Burritos. Each order will fill you up until your next meal!“

“I don’t want to say what I ordered because I don’t want to set expectations for others… but I will say it was the best I have ever had, including california and south america. “I went to the up town one yesterday for happy hour. Emilio was great welcome to me right away. Let me know about the happy hour specials. Then I spoke with the owner. I congratulated her on the success of her business. Her husband and her opened this restaurant, and the one on 412 Broadway after many years of working at Hendricksons as a cook. It’s nice to see hard hard-working people become successful n keep their business local. Very inviting and friendly place. Great margaritas. Great ppl:) I also had the chorizo queso. It was delicious. But everything on the menu us. All in all had a nice experience:)“

The food is consistently delicious, and some of my favorites include the BLT Sandwich (always made to perfection), the omelettes, and their Apple Caramel Butter Latte—a delightful seasonal treat. I first discovered the latte through a social media post a few weeks ago, and now Brewed Awakening has become my go-to spot every Sunday for a relaxing meal. The service is always warm and welcoming. Annie, the owner, often makes an appearance on the floor, either serving or checking in with guests to ensure they’re enjoying their visit. Her kindness and genuine hospitality make the experience even more special. I highly recommend stopping by Brewed Awakening for a delicious meal and a cozy, inviting atmosphere. You won’t be disappointed!“

“Ordered take out once and 2 times I physically visited and their consistency in flavor is phenomenal. Customer service is impeccable, you get greeted the moment you step inside. Good arrives super quick. Even with us arriving last minute before they closed we were still welcomed warmly. I’ve had the al pastor tacos and a pork cemita. Their hibiscus tea and horchata are delicious. Giving this place a try will not disappoint. I’ll definitely be coming back at a more decent time not 35 mins before close 🫢“

“Food was very good. Had Fajita Duo and Cheese Nachos. Prices were decent. Menu was limited. Problem was the flour pancakes were very small (Maybe 6" round (4) for the dinner we had. Six Tortillas would of been fine for that dinner. We asked for more and they gave us 3. Noticing the bill I WAS CHARGED for the 3 extra ($2.50)? That's Not Good Business. I have never been charged for a few extra tortillas. I will not go back or recommend. Disappointed. It was freezing in there.“

“I grew up in Texas and enjoyed this authentic beef taco bowl for a casual and affordable dinner in Newark. The owner and staff clearly put their hearts into each ingredient in the bowl which comes together as a Tex-Mex festival of flavors.

“Such a great spot for tacos, and I had the best server! I tried the beef birria tacos, pescado tacos, chicken tacos, and beef nacho fries, and everything was packed with flavor.
The birria tacos tasted so good! The beef was tender, flavorful. My pescado tacos were fresh and flavorful, & the chicken tacos were juicy and well-seasoned. The beef nacho fries were also a must-try, with generous toppings and plenty of flavor in every bite. Also the restaurant is family friendly I had an infant with me and my friends, they were super accommodating to us and made us feel so welcomed!!“

“We eat here almost every day. The food is always made to order so it does take a few miinutes. The food is delicious, I have never had anything I did not enjoy. Mr. C is always making sure we are happy with what he has prepared for us. Sometimes he will add his own little touch once he gets to know you and what you like. He will make great suggestions if you are not sure what you would like. The girls at the counter are great! This is a small hidden gem!“

“My eight year old is very picky. Very picky. And I want him to understand that Taco Bell is not Mexican food. So we went in hopes he would at least try some real tacos. Well, he did. I don’t know how you did it, El Macho but he polished off a full plate of four carnitas tacos! The waitress was nice enough to just give him meat and added cheese but he devoured them. We will be returning! Five stars!“

“So I found this restaurant on “Perth Amboy Eats” website and wanted to try their $1 tacos and empanadas Tuesday special I payed $8 in total but they missed a taco which is ok because I understand the are busy! Overall the empanadas were good the tacos were underwhelming with flavor (all the flavors) but service was fast and good, and it’s a $1.00 but I’ve had better flavorful tacos for a $1.00 somewhere else, but it’s ok 👍🏽“
