The moment you walk into Char you know it's upscale. Love the ambiance and decor. It was our first time there and my husband and I were impressed with all aspects. The service was top notch. Brian, our server was knowledgeable and attentive. The Delmonico Ribeye was perfection. And, oh that Bread Pudding!
Came for a date night and ordered off the special menu, a bone in Filet. We had one in D.C and once we heard Char had it, we had to check it out. Unfortunately, I hate to say we were disappointed. We ordered it rare and it came out medium, although it had the rare stick in it. Waiter eventually came over to ask how it was cooked and when we told him he basically said oh sorry, and offered a dessert on him. Didn't really seem genuine but I guess we should've known when...
Yes, it's expensive, but you know that before you go. It was worth every penny! The service was excellent, the food was perfectly prepared and they even comped my dessert for my birthday. I don't know how the noise is on the weekends, but we could easily hear and talk to each other. Will definitely go again.
