This was my first of hopefully many visits to Monticello. Everything from start to finish was absolutely lovely and extremely tasty. We started with the meatball appetizer which was amazing! My husband had the seafood arrabiata for dinner which had the perfect amount of heat. The taste was magnificent. I had the gnocchi dish which too was amazing. For dessert we shared the bread pudding for a change from our usual type of desserts... and we couldn't be happier that we did....
Quaint and understated compared to other restaurants in the area, the atmosphere here was exactly right for an evening with friends — relaxed, low-key, the kind of place where you can actually hear each other talk. We won't bore you with a dish-by-dish breakdown; just know that everything we ordered met or exceeded expectations. My boyfriend and I went there about a month ago. I wish I had done the review right away because I can’t remember exactly what we ate. We had a series of small plates. Everything was beautiful and delicious. The service was gracious and efficient. I love the calm, peaceful old world atmosphere. It is small, tucked away and easy to miss. It is worth seeking out.
