“Food was good, service was great (Alex) . They charge you if you use your credit card and in my case my debit card. My biggest complaint is that the oysters were the size of my thumb nail, so skip the oysters.“

“We were looking for a vegan restaurant to stop at about halfway through a drive from Bergen County to a shore point and found this place on Happy Cow. It did not disappoint! Food was delicious. Service was friendly and attentive, and the portions were large. We ordered the mac & cheese with coconut bacon and the Reuben sandwich. Although we were full we ordered two desserts to go because they looked so delicious . We ate them later on at home and they were delicious as well! We got the slutty brownie and the chocolate chip cookie. We will definitely visit again when we are in the area.“

“If I tell you how wonderful the place, the people, the plates are will you promise not to go? It’s hard enough snagging a reservation without hoards of people trying to book a table after reading justifiably rave reviews. OK, here goes. Agnolotti pasta and sweet potato hush puppies as appetizers to start and oh, what a start it was. Monk fish and a bacon-jam encrusted pork chop, both cooked to perfection, as entrees. Lemon tart and a you-gotta-try-it-once-in-your-life “budino,” for dessert. (Do you know stressed spelled backwards is desserts?) What’s a budino you ask? Adult pudding, whipped by angels, so addictive it must have been created by Satan. Farm to Table, fresh, sustainable, local, tucked away on a side street in Red Bank… and you get to bring your own favorite wine. Don’t go. Don’t tell your friends. Let this gem be all mine.“

“Was just in the store yesterday and saw the amazing company Truffliest, which I love the truffle sauce. There’s an amazing selection of different various products as well as amazing fresh pasta and food ready to go. If you’re in the neighborhood in Red Bank, I would definitely recommend stopping by!“

“I love buffalo chicken sandwiches and have gone as far as Philadelphia to get one. However, I recently tried a buffalo chicken sandwich at Nicholas. I was speechless…literally. My brain instantly went into survival mode trying to calculate how and why this sandwich was at least ten times better than any other buffalo chicken sandwich I have ever eaten. Not even a close second place. Game changing. Life changing. It’s like I knew nothing about buffalo chicken a moment before taking a bite. I was humbled instantly. Nicholas Barrel and Roost found the cheat code!“

“I love this place so much. The food is so consistently delicious and the servers are so sweet. The workers are always genuinely welcoming and wow, did I mention how good the food is? Tonight I had chicken and eggplant. It was sweet and garlicky and cooked perfectly. 10/10. We also ate a Thai basil beef dish, also phenomenal and the Singapore noodles ... Fresh, spicy and so tasty. Thanks for another great meal, you have to eat here!“

“Been a customer for twenty years. Solid BYOB Italian restaurant with a veteran staff. Owner and general manager are always present. Ownership changed 9 years ago. Very good fresh pastas. I’m totally a fan of their main marinara sauce. Sometimes I’ve asked for it on the side. My wife and I have liked the seafood pasta panadora. I tend to order a lot of salads and I’ve tried most of them. My favorite is their chopped salad ($18). Sometimes I get it with the chicken option. I really like their own salad dressing. It’s a little different. The Greek salad is really good too. The braised slow cook short ribs are very popular; a long time specialty item. Their lunch menu is very reasonable. Surprisingly good burgers and sandwiches. I’m particularly a fan of their tuna sandwich, with several variations. I have found the service to always be excellent. I noticed their bread has been outstanding. Owner said they invested in a new ovens from Italy✅ Their homemade carrot cake is excellent, and I’m fussy when it comes to carrot cake, my favorite😀 Great location in downtown Red Bank on Wallace Street, which is not busy. There is municipal parking nearby. Keep in mind you generally have to pay in Red Bank unless you’re willing to walk a bit. Also, a special mention goes out to special events. They’re particularly good at parties. They scale well to what the needs of the event. It can be simple to full sit-down dinner or buffet.“

“My wife and I had the 4 course dinner. Food was very good. We started with the Bacon and Brie Cheese Fondue. Pretzel bread was extremely good. For entrees, my wife had the land and sea, I had the steak. Everything came out good. I enjoyed cooking my own food at table. Everything came out good. We finished with cookie and cream fondue. This was very good too. Even dipped a little of the chocolate into my coffee for an enhanced taste. Our server was very good.“
“Fantastic beers, great staff and a very cool vibe. Definitely check it out. Welcome to the neighborhood and best of luck! 🍻“

“I’ve been following along and making some of Adam’s recipes recently and am so happy with the results. In particular, the chorizo tostados are outstanding! The tofu chorizo is easy to make and so meaty and flavorful. The cabbage slaw was a huge hit and I’ve made that several times as a side to other meals. Adam doesn’t miss a detail, explains each step, is always funny, and the results are great!“

“Step through the doors of The Globe and into a world where time slows, where laughter mingles with the hum of the game, and where the clink of a perfectly poured pint feels like a familiar embrace. Since 1840, this hallowed spot has anchored downtown Red Bank—not just a sports bar, but a living relic of camaraderie, tradition, and the simple pleasure of a burger and a beer.
Once an inn sheltering weary travelers, today it shelters the spirit of the town. The barstools tell stories, the taps flow with over 30 stellar brews—domestic and foreign alike—and the famed Globe Burger is a rite of passage for any local or visitor. And if you're in the know? The pork roll fries—golden, crisp, and utterly decadent—are a must.
Fifteen flat screens glow, capturing every play, every moment, while seasoned bartenders—some here for decades—pour with precision and warmth. Their tenure speaks volumes: a sign of a place run right, of ownership that cares, of a bar where you’re not just served—you’re known.
In a world that races ahead, chasing trends and fleeting fads, The Globe remains steadfast, a beacon of what a bar should be. No pretense, no gimmicks—just good company, great drinks, and the kind of authenticity you can’t manufacture. Pull up a seat, order a Guinness (poured to perfection), and soak it in. Some places fade. The Globe endures.“
