“I’ll admit, I didn’t give this place the time of day for the longest time, despite it being right around the corner from my house. I had heard all the buzz, but I was so used to venturing into other towns for great food that I never thought to try it. Well, I finally gave it a chance, and let me just say—what a mistake it was to wait so long! On my first visit, I ordered their hot roast beef and mozzarella sandwich with brown gravy. Wow. It was absolutely stunning—every bite packed with rich, savory flavor. It truly lived up to the hype and then some! On my second visit, I decided to try the chicken cutlet parm sandwich. While it didn’t quite reach the same heights as that phenomenal roast beef, it was still very tasty and satisfying. What really makes this deli special is its old-school charm. Walking in feels like stepping back in time, and the classic style and vibe are complemented perfectly by top-notch service. I’m happy to say this place has officially become my go-to sandwich spot, and I couldn’t be more excited to keep exploring the menu. If you haven’t checked it out yet, don’t make the same mistake I did—get there now!“

“I love there chop cheese and really every sanwich but I hate ordering at night because the young guy with curly hair always has the phone on so that no calls go through. It's pretty annoying especially when you see there's no orders at that time. Overall love the business.“

“Fillmore Deli and Backroom is a pretty solid neighborhood spot with a surprising mix of options. The Korean fried chicken is actually really good crispy, flavorful, and definitely worth trying. They also have a large variety of sandwiches, so there’s something for whatever mood you’re in.

One thing that always throws me off though is they tend to run out of the tuna pretty often, which is strange for a deli. But besides that, everything else seems to be okay. It’s a reliable place to grab a quick bite and the food usually hits the spot.“

“The best part of my morning is stopping in and always being greeted with kindness and hospitality. The menu is clear and simple, but it won’t stop them from suggesting something they think you’d enjoy.

It’s hard finding a place so quaint and personable in the city. For me it’s the fact that the owner will remember you and immediately welcome you as a friend.

I vaguely remember them being in a different location though.....on the corner adjacent to them.....where CVS is now (they expanded that space. The place is small with no tables. There's just a couple of stools by the window. We always order delivery though. Family run by husband, wife and son. They are all very nice and delivery is always within 30 minutes. I've tried a bunch of things from there. Egg sandwiches, cold cut sandwiches, BLTs, burgers, pasta salad, fries etc. I haven't disliked anything. Their fries are a must get! Not sure why they're so good, but they are. As for the pricing, everything is under $10 which is great! Definitely check them out!“

Get there before 3;30 PM if you want sliced cheese because they close the slicer at 3;30. I know if I get there at 3;32 PM the slicer is off. “Just recently found out this deli offers full meals on Friday. We pick it up before they close and it serves 8-10 people. This week is pesto Chicken breast, linguine in a light olive oil and onions (or maybe shallots) and sun dries tomatoes. Salad, dressing and bread.Last week was meatloaf (to die for), mashed potatoes, sautéed string beans and of course, bread and salad. It lasted me all week for lunches at work.“
