Generally we enjoy the place. Good food good wine. We parked in their empty lot at 5pm and were about to go inside when a man came up to the car window and told us that there was valet parking only and that we couldn't self park. Very unwelcomimg experience. We parked on the street.
One 53 is a treasure! Their menu changes with the seasons and the chef wisely offered a cool gazpacho last Monday during the heat wave which was refreshingly delicious. Zucchini fritters were lightly battered and crisp and a hit at our table. My husband enjoyed the bay scallops over black lentils while our friend opted for a burger which he said was delicious and perfectly cooked. Great food , service and ambience. Didn't feel rushed on Mother's Day. Abbey was an excellent server. 153 is so close to us but we generally head into Princeton out of habit. We'll make 153 a new favorite!
