“This place was fantastic! Over the years I've been here maybe 10 times. I never complain when my friends or family suggest this place to eat for dinner. The waitresses are always a pleasure to deal with. They assist me well when I ask for all my extras and meal modifications. The chef ?‍? in the back is on point. Parking: Paid street parking can be a bit full sometimes, causing me to circle once or twice. I typically never have to walk more than a half a block.“

“My husband gets their food all the time for lunch and yesterday I met up with him while he was on break. I got the falafel plate and my god! The falafels were so fresh and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, the veggies were fresh and really brought life to the dish. The owner and his son were so nice. “Well, we visited as part of a food tour of NY. Being quite frank, if we had been by ourselves we might well have walked right past Mamoun's; it doesn't have the greatest frontage, and some might be put off.
But oh, my! Get in there and have yourself the best falafel around. We've travelled to many parts of north Africa and the Middle East and I can honestly say that this is the best falafel we have had - especially with that brutally gorgeous hot sauce (two bottles purchased to take back to the UK).
Definite revisit required!“

My only gripe is that this is a counter top takeout place and the payment system asks for 15/20/25% tip and dude was watching me as I tapped the buttons on the screen, so I felt pressured to tip for no service before even getting my food. Not unique to this place but that’s the only reason I’m not hustling back.“

“I came to Holy Pita and ordered the chicken shawarma, and it was absolutely delicious! The chicken was juicy, perfectly spiced, and wrapped in fresh pita with all the right toppings. Every bite was full of flavor.

“Benjy was very kind, and straight to the point. The place is chalov yisroel, and the pizza was surprisingly delicious. The store is a bit outdated but in my opinion is reminiscent of the old pizza shops we went to as kids in a cozy kind of way. Benjy, keep being you.

Kid-friendliness: There are highchairs, and the owner will cut the pies in as many peices as you want.“

“Whenever I am in the area, I have to get my fix!! The Lamb Gyro Platter and Chicken Gyro Platter are so good. You are going to want to order both. I wish I had taken a picture. The last time I was here was in Nov 2021, my flight got in after midnight, so I didn't get to my hotel until close to 2AM. This was one of the few places open, and the food was so good. The Hummus & Pita is delicious as well! You just can not go wrong with this place!“

Service: Mohammad served us, he is a very funny guy. Knew how to keep a conversation while also keeping things professional and making us laugh. 10/10.
Atmosphere: Pretty simple inside. Just chairs and tables and the food serving bar. Still a very nice place.

“Love the falafels from this place. They have so many toppings to choose. You can get a platter or gyro with either lamb, chicken beef or falafel. I only get the falafels but they are banging. Then you can pick lettuce, tomato, onions, peppers, olives, pickles, and/or chickpeas. It's delicious 😋 I only took off one start for atmosphere because their tv is so loud lol always a turn off for me. Cheers“

“First time here and was skeptical because of the prior businesses that have been there I am actually very surprised the place is brand new and very clean the lady was very nice and customer friendly, so we got a a few things first the burgers are like homade absolutely delicious fresh lettuce tomatoes and onions sesame bun cooked perfect, the wings are amazing im pretty sure they are restaurant depots extra crispy wings which Noone sells cause there expensive but definitely 10 out of 10 on crispy wings, and chicken cutlet salad all fresh great breaded chicken and just good im so glad we finally got a good lil spot like this in town best wishes“

“These street carts were peppered all over NYC. Am unsure why certain carts have longer queues than the rest even though they were all from the same franchise. Nothing much to comment on the taste. I didn't like the mess on the plate which was heavily slathered in white sauce. Reasonably priced. Portions are huge.“
