“Loved my experience at Red Fox. Nice to have this spot right off the beach at Island Beach State Park. Very popular so it does get crowded, but for good reason. Nice to have draft specials in the middle of the day. And a raw bar w great clams.“

“Great Restaurant tucked away with amazing food. Can’t believe that it took us so long to check this place out. We’ve heard many great things about it and we finally decided to give it a shot. Had reservations for 8 of us; great craft cocktails, amazing service and food was on point! Short rib was absolutely delicious and the filet with the lobster tail was amazing. Looking forward to coming back!“

“This is a very friendly, very welcoming local bar with a good selection of food. Nothing fancy, but this is not a fancy place. It's come as you are, relax and feel at home. You won't be disappointed, but you won't be thrilled either, this is good hardy fair at its best.“

“Anchor Inn saved my party!!!! We had a house party planned for 16 people. 1 hour before guests were supposed to arrive, our street got flooded out in Ocean Gate. We called Anchor Inn and they happily accommodated our party of 16 just 45 minutes later!! Everyone arrived at the restaurant and our party was being served efficiently. We all really enjoyed our big variety of meals such as pizzas, eggplant rollatini, ravioli, lasagna, etc. they let us bring our own birthday cake and didn’t even charge us a serving fee for it. No one does that anymore and so we wanted everyone to know how wonderful this place was for us, and how incredibly stressed out we were before they saved the day. Thank you so much Anchor Inn management, chef, and servers!!!!“

“So- we’re going to go to Stone Fire, but they were closed so we decided to try this.Well this was a huge win!Great little pub atmosphere. Dave the bartender was our server, which was great service.I had the Jambalaya & my fiancé had a cheeseburger, and the food was terrific!Will definitely be back!!!!!“

“First time visit and we will definitely be back.Unfortunately, we along with many others in the area have been missing this great dining spot probably because from the outside it looks like a bar —- not the cozy place it is. We loved the food —- generous portions and perfect menu choices not to mention the server,Hannah, she is delightful. She told us that there are changing specials every Thursday-Sunday !! “If you keep it simple here you'll be fine. Picnic table seating and a decent burger make the Chop Shop a very smart low-key choice when in the always sketchy Seaside Heights vicinity. Remember to go to the Chop Shop serving food instead of the numerous shops in the area dismantling your 2022 Camry. A very solid burger. Four, very solid stars.“

“Ate indoors for the first time ever. Cozy and welcoming on a cold and cloudy day. Tables are not on top of each other, which is a major plus. I found dining indoors here much less chaotic than outside in prime season, so it was perfect. Our server was lovely and very attentive. Ordered the lobster bisque with the beet salad, which had the best goat cheese balls I've had in a long time. The balsamic dressing was perfect, along with the candied walnuts. The soup was loaded with lobster and outstanding. Although the espresso martini is a bit pricey at $12, it's worth every penny. I'm still thinking about the experience 4 days later, and that's a good thing.“

“Great dive bar with excellent bartenders. While it doesn't look like much compared to the other bars in town, it does deliver with its old style feel and more than standard drinks. You will never be disappointed or feel ripped off when ordering a drink from this place (cheap and made right).“

“Fun atmosphere, nice staff, clean too but I really like it because of their food. I tried fish and chips from so many places down there trying to find the one I love most and Hook's wins! Hands down. I have had their crab cake too and I have to say that was also excellent ?“

“We dine at the Alehouse pretty much on a weekly basis. Everything is always fresh and delicious. My husband loves the Justin-and Turkey Justin when it’s a special (it should be a regular item!). I love their California burger, scampi wings, and chicken francaise! Our son loves their mushroom/swiss burger. We also love their tuna bites and bar pies. The wait staff is super friendly.“
