“I was kind of disappointed when we came to pick up our order that it wasn’t ready yet. Many staff would asked me and my husband what we were standing there for and looking like waiting for something, but not coming back to tell us anything about our order except the last lady who took care of it. We ordered the food online at 1:00pm for a pick up at 8:00pm. Isn’t this enough time to get it ready? We even generously put in a more than a reasonable tip although we’re not dining in, as it is the New Year, time to be grateful and appreciative. We did not mind the waiting but it’s the way staff was asking us and doing nothing. One more thing, it was good before we left we checked all the 3 bags of food for completeness because one main course was missing and one staff noticed us and we told her about the missing food. She went to the kitchen and came back in 5 seconds with the missing food. So someone missed to put it in the bag. The Cheesecake Factory is one of our bests but sometimes it disappoints us for a valid reason.“

“Boy, are we glad we added this special stop to our road trip from the Boston, MA area because they sell gluten-free bagels... and they're delicious...plain or with everything (poppy, sesame, garlic etc.) They even have packaged gluten-free snack items! I bought a gluten-free brownie that was heavenly!! Karim couldn't have been nicer. When we come back to the area we will definitely stop here again! ;-) Thanks Karim!!“

“This place is excellent. I bought my friend from Japan with his family and was happy to take them to Cornbread for some authentic soul food. Needless to say my friend and his family loved the experience. They were finishing a road trip throughout the US and they thought the food at Cornbread was some of the best they had in their month long journery. The turkey wings were particularly good and I'm saying this as a person who is mostly vegetarian. Service was also excellent with attentive help and the servers were conversational and friendly with my friends and I. Bathrooms were also very clean. I wholeheartedly recommend Cornbread Montclair as a solid business and a great place for delicious Soul Food.“

Whether we get take out or dine in, the staff is extremely friendly, the food is fresh and flavorful, the music is calming jazz and the booths are so comfortable. We have many favorite dishes @ we especially love the thickness & taste of the raita. We highly recommend this restaurant, and we also enjoyed it 25 years ago when it was Begum Palace. “We went for the first time last Sunday. All I can say is wow. From the wait staff to the kitchen staff to management, everyone was incredibly friendly, unbelievably accommodating when it came to food allergies (they came out to talk about everything in specific detail to make sure it was safe before it was cooked and served), and the food was absolutely delicious!! I would absolutely recommend trying Marakesh out if you haven't been. They will be more than happy to go over the menu and explain anything you might not recognize or need changed because of restrictions. You can also call ahead so it can be prepped ahead of time for you. I will definitely be back again!!“

“I’ve ordered a few times all great experiences. Today I ordered in store at the kiosk and picked up, got home and although i got two combos (lamb k jerk chicken) upon eating the first few bites I realized both were only jerk chicken. I called however their voicemail isn’t set up. I wish someone could call me back and offer some kind of assistance/ discount 😩

UPDATE: The customer service team reached out to me immediately after my original review, apologized for the mix-up, and offered to make things right by replacing our two combo platters.

I stopped by Saturday night and showed the staff the email. They immediately knew what I was referring to, apologized again for the previous experience, and took care of my order with no hassle or confusion. My food came out quickly, the customer service was great, and the food quality was great as usual!

I really appreciate how quickly they responded to my concerns and that the same level of care carried over when I returned to the restaurant. Mistakes happen, but how a business responds matters. They addressed the issue immediately, made the resolution easy, and followed through on exactly what they promised. Definitely appreciated!“
