“Pretty good place to shoot pool at, especially on a weekend night. Last Sat nite was crowded (which is good, because I like to socialize with lots of people, on weekends), and was very inexpensive to shoot, there (3 tables in action, and only 5 quarters a game). Much less costly than a standard pool hall, and I don't mind all of the young, rowdy, impaired ones wandering around (and getting wiped out by me, in game after game, either!) Mostly everybody there was friendly, including the bar-keeps, and I even brought my "main squeeze" with me, last Sat nite--and she was impressed with what a "happening place" it was, in Somerville, nowadays. I also shoot regularly at the Royal, and the Northside, but sometimes there aren't enough other shooters, at the Royal, and the Northside sometimes has a live band, and closes their only pool table (which doesn't work for me, at all!) I don't mind hard core and death metal, but when I come to such a raucous place, I want to shoot pool, or get bored quickly, just listening to music. Besides, it's hard to socialize with chicks, with all of that loud music playing (because they can't hear you, when you try to talk to them)--but everyone is interested in a good game of pool, win, lose, or draw--and nobody gives me any grief with a pool cue stick in my hands, while knocking around those rock hard balls, on the table--and I even enjoyed a quick game of air hockey, with my "main squeeze", too! So, if you like shooting, like me, then come down to the "Hotel", brush aside some of the crowd, and win a few games! Ha ha ha ha ha!“
“I love this place! Good quality food, nice employees + all employees are on top of their service. Fun place to eat and enjoy drinks. All employees are welcoming, especially Ashley. She's fun and friendly. No complaints whatsoever of this place, highly recommend for anyone looking for quick service, quality food, and a good time. 5 stars!“
“Stopped here for dinner on a Thursday night after wanting to try it moving to the area. First impression is that it’s dark but somewhat cozy and quiet on the place’s dine-in side. I had the veggie burger with fries and my partner ordered the penne vodka personal pizza. The veggie burger was okay but my favorite part of the meal were the extra crispy fries. I tried some of the penne vodka pizza and it could’ve had a bit more sauce on it. Overall decent dinning experience.Parking: There’s a free parking lot for the plaza.“
“Stopped in on St. Patrick's Day for some traditional food for takeout. Generous portion of corned beef and wedge of cabbage with boiled potatoes and steamed carrots. All perfectly done and delicious. Will go back soon for a beer and to try the fish & chips.“
“Nice local place with OK food. Servers, bartenders, and wait staff are friendly and it’s definitely cozy inside. Some dishes are better than others- New Orleans Shrimp is OK, but not exactly authentic. Burgers are decent, but appetizers vary in quality. Some, like potato skins aren’t exactly mouthwatering. Caters mostly to locals and looks like it hasn’t changed that much inside in a long time.“
“It's a kickback relaxed atmosphere. Very attentive service. Food is superherb. It was a packed house when I was there for dinner. Surf and turf steak was a little bit more cooked. My server came back with a perfect medium rare!I've read a few of these comments ,with people having issues with their quantity or quality of their food. They said they were TIRED, or didn't want to BOTHER with the issue.Well, that's on you Sparky! When you bring the issue up to your food server, and they do nothing, then there is an ISSUE!Now back in Arizona, will be back with friends! Thanks, Nicky & Bonnie!!! ??????@unclematin7711“
“Mexicali brews is definitely a spot worth visiting once. I wasn’t a big fan of the salsa there was nothing special about it. The queso chorizo dip on the other hand was absolutely amazing, I highly recommend that. There’s a lot of unique taco choices on the menu. This time around, I personally ordered the steak fajitas. it was worth every bit of the price. The size of the portion was absolutely massive. My table got a pitcher of margarita it was good, and a great way to save a few dollars.Unfortunately, my main complaint is the service was lacking. We waited a long time to be greeted, and have our orders taken. After the food came out the waiter didn’t come over to our table to check on us until we were ready for the check.A lot of space downstairs with a live band on some nights, and nice area to sit outside in the warmer months which is a plus.Worth checking out, and I’ll definitely be back.“
“Great local restaurant w food. Bar gets busy on weekends come early enjoy the band. Happy hour is very early. Plenty of parking. It gets crowded. Kitchen closes early, order when you get there.Kid-friendliness: Free food SundaysWheelchair accessibility: There is a long ramp on the side“
“LOVE this place. I am not a local but from sitting at the bar a few times, this is definitely a place that has regulars. That being said I've only sat at the bar, for drinks and shareables. The crispy fish tacos may be the best I've ever had and I've gone back for them a few times. Being that the margherita pizza is not a traditional pizza, it was still very tasty and had a nice lightness about it. As someone who doesn't typically like clams, the clams on fire has an incredible heat to them that masks the actual clam taste and I love dipping the crostini in the sauce. Like I said, I love this place and definitely would be a regular if I lived close by.“
