The cashier messed up my order but Mayra and I believe it was the manager Hosea corrected it. They were very apologetic and were very kind. Will go back bc my family enjoys the food.
They are always so nice ... never any issues with my order... can't wait for the new menu coming 😁
Big bonus that they give discount to Rutgers employees.

Charley's Cheesesteaks is a clean restaurant with a hard-working staff that treats customers like family. The food is always fresh, and the cheese fries are a favorite. One first-time visitor got cheesesteak, fries, and mozzarella sticks, noting everything was clean, seasoned well, and the cheese was cheesing, with excellent service that gave old school Jersey Shore boardwalk vibes. Another regular loves the place, saying the young blonde lady is always working her best no matter how many people are there.
However, service can be inconsistent. One customer had a very rude experience: the staff shoved food into their hands, refused to help with a large Lemonade, and got multiple order items wrong. They paid extra for extra cheese that wasn't there, and a sandwich was supposed to have tomato, mushrooms, and lettuce but didn't. Another first-time visitor enjoyed the food—the roll was soft, lettuce crisp, and tomato juicy—but had minor errors: cheese on fries was on top instead of on the side, making them unnecessarily messy, and the sandwich wasn’t evenly sliced, causing a port to fall out. Despite these issues, most say they will return and hope the next visit is better.
