“I've been going to the South River Pub for many many years and I used to bartend there as well. It's my hometown bar and I love it. My mom knew the owners and i grew up with their kids and they have become like family. I particularly love karaoke night on Fridays with DJ Rob, who has become a dear friend to me over the years as well. The regulars are fun, kind and caring people and when I go there it feels like family. Like “Cheers.” They don't serve food but you can bring your own if you like. Sometimes for special events and football, Lil will make a little food buffet for the customers. It's always a fun time.“

Big shoutout to Conor, who was my bartender. He went out of his way to make sure I had a great time, from giving recommendations to answering questions and making sure I always had what I needed. He was one of the friendliest bartenders I’ve met, easy to talk to, engaging, and the kind of person who makes you feel like a regular even on your first visit. The bar itself is also fantastic. You can play pool and foosball, make requests for what’s playing, and even change the music, which made watching the World Cup even better. The whole vibe is great, the people are welcoming, and it feels open to everyone. Between the atmosphere, the drinks, and the overall quality of the place, it’s easy to see why Ale n’ Wich stands out. I’ll definitely be back.“

“Rarely do I feel inspired to 5/5 a place but this is a magical spot to hang out. DJ Davis G spins the best music creating incredible vibes you cannot miss. The servers working are attentive and friendly. All of this is a 10/10, but I need to talk about the food. The wings at this spot are by far the best wings you will ever have in your entire life. When you are listening to some of the best songs you ever heard, while receiving the best service you have ever had the pleasure of receiving, you will be sitting down eating the best wings you have ever had in your entire life. These wings changed my life. I have a new answer to my "what would your last meal be" answer after consuming the wings at this pub. Nothing will ever replace how I felt when I was at this special pub. Cannot recommend more.“

We ordered fried mushrooms which were previously frozen and not very good and I had the buffalo wings which were average with little flavor. “This is a decent bar. The service during the day is not the best if you’re not a regular or if you don’t look a certain way. However, it is a lot better in the evening. The evening bartenders tend to be friendlier and more welcoming. I tried to be a regular there but some of the bad service turned me off. Not bad if you go from to time. The drinks were always great. Food is decent but their wings are absolutely amazing. Place has always been organized and clean.“
