“$3 Nonsense fees when you order online for pickup. For a $13.75 order, I am charged an extra $3 or so. Why am I penalized for choosing NOT to phone in? Most restaurants view phone-in calls as costly and occupying staff time. It's my fault for not noticing before I placed the order. I used the website Preferred By Business, which is usually their POS vendor site, which should have the lowest expense for the shop. Lesson learned, call in your order. Side note, their breakfast sandwich has 2 thin slices of pork roll and 1 slice of cheese. It was pathetic. Bagel was fine.“

“Absolutely blown away by this place! The breakfast sandwiches here are next-level—perfectly cooked eggs, melty cheese, and fresh, flavorful ingredients all stacked on the softest, most delicious bread. Every bite was amazing.

But what really stood out was the kindness of the staff. Not only were they super friendly and welcoming, they even gave us a free bagel to try—just because! And wow, that bagel was incredible—chewy, fresh, and full of flavor. You can tell they really care about their food and their customers.

This spot has officially become my new go-to for breakfast. Highly recommend!“

“We stopped by our cousins bagel shop today for the first time. Incredibly delicious light and airy Bagels. The Calabria, rosemary olive oil?and jalapeño bagels are to die for. Best of luck in the store. My suggestion is that everyone go there and try some.“

“Great breakfast sandwich options for less. Called ahead every time and without fail, my order was ready to go every time I walked in. We enjoyed the bacon, egg and cheese on a croissant as well as plain bagels with cream cheese. The coffee was also nothing to scoff at either. We definitely enjoyed our breakfast, so much so that we went back the next day. And for the price, you can't beat it. Definitely better than what you will get at the nearby hotels and for less.“

I always get a bacon, egg and cheese with or without avocado depending on my mood and it’s so good the bacon comes out nice and crispy not burnt but not soggy. The only thing I noticed the last time I was there I don’t know if the guy is the owner or what but he offered me “free gummy candy” (the hamburger gummies) like literally handed it to me and then proceeded to charge me for it. “The guys here make a wonderful bagel. I look forward to hosting family gatherings where guests stay overnight because I know in the AM, I will be picking up loads of bagels from Bagel 1. Everyone loves them, and those that come from far, take some home with them. They blow the doors off of the spots East Brunswick offers. Worth the extra couple minute ride on a Saturday/Sunday morning. When I go by myself, the breakfast sandwiches are loaded and taste phenomenal. The price to quality ratio can’t be beat around here, and I tried them all multiple times.“

I had the grilled chicken and vegetables wrap from Milltown Bagel Bazaar and it was incredible! The chicken was perfectly grilled, the veggies were fresh and flavorful, and the cheesy sauce brought it all together in the best way. It was hot, juicy, and wrapped just right — no mess, just pure deliciousness. Super satisfying and full of bold flavor. Definitely one of the best wraps I’ve had. Best Bagal Bazaar in town.

“I went to work with my husband one day. We stopped at this bagel shop, Tommy's Bagels! For breakfast! He ran in as I waited in the truck. Before running into order, he told me that this bagel shop was one of his favorites. And that it was very popular. Waiting inside, he must have waited in line for almost 20-25 minutes. I can understand a breakfast place being busy in the am before the work day begins. But half an hour, I believe is a bit much! I will say, this bagel was amazing! ? ? ? They slapped on the cream cheese, just how I like it! It was overall well worth the wait in my opinion. If you're in a rush in the morning, maybe before stopping by Tommy's Bagels, leave your house a bit earlier. That would be my solution. Or possibly, I went and ordered on one of their busiest days, and it's not always like that. Just keep that in the back of your mind. Because it is so so worth it! The bagel was delicious!“

Charged $7 for a bagel with egg and scallion cream cheese, an egg and cheese sandwich is listed at $3.99. They add $3 for the scallions in the cheese. The other clerk was rude to customers. Will not be going back.“

“Recently checked out Joe’s Bagel and Grill in Robertsville, NJ—and honestly, I’m confused by all the hate. Yeah, I saw the reviews complaining about pricing, gluten-free “gouging,” and service, but that wasn’t our experience at all.

We tried the gluten-free options since my partner needs them, and everything was solid. Staff were super friendly—smiling, helpful, just genuinely nice people. I went back-to-back on Friday and Saturday, no issues either time. Food was great, service was fast, and the vibe was good.

Sure, like anyone, I’d love for life to be cheaper—but I actually think the pricing here is fair for the area and the quality. It’s a bagel shop, not a mortgage payment. People in these reviews need to chill.“

“By far best bagel in the area. Would give 5 stars but knocked off one for the customer service. The two ladies there working had zero personality and seemed like they just hate life. I got maybe 3 words out of the lady. All I got was a “Next” when it was my turn to order, didn’t even ask me what I wanted and then I was told the price and got no response to me saying thank you and have a good day. I came in the store saying good morning and thank you after I placed my order so I don’t get the lack of common courtesy and simple conversation. Would I go back….I would for the delicious bagel, but if I get that kind of interaction again it might not be worth it after that.“

“Really awesome bagels! Typical bagel shop / deli fare. I like the variety of bagels - they have everything, egg everything amd a whole wheat everything! Their multi-grain and french toast bagels are awesome too. Great food. Cooks prepare the food correctly. The staff are very friendly, it shows when they are rushed or stressed, but otherwise they are welcoming and thank us for coming in. The coffee is great! Tasty and fresh, I love some of the flavored beans, but they don't always have every flavor available. Chicken salad and tuna salad and other lunch options are also very good.“

“I think that the bagels here are really my favorite bagels in all of NJ. The insides are thick and fluffy, while the outside is slightly crisp, just like a bagel should be. Usually I get a half dozen and an egg and cheese on a bagel to-go. They also have really nice flavored cream cheese.“
