Had my eye on this restaurant since before visiting the area. Lived up to it all! Crab cakes are an absolute must try, huge thick patties, tender premium lump crab meat. Claims in garlic butter sauce a bit overly rich and salty but would be perfect if have penchant for those flavors. Great seafood combo plate options. Went back the next day. Coleslaw delicious especially paired with seafood.
So after many years of knowing this place is here and very popular and just never trying it out, in large part because of the long wait times and how it’s on the mainland, I finally gave this place a try with my girl and my family and I thought the NE Clam chowder was the best clam chowder I’ve ever had in southern ocean county. My grandfather in his 80s (and beginning dementia) remembers few things but this is his favorite spot. We love to go and enjoy time with him and the food is incredible. The crab is second best to crab I’ve had in Alaska! Really delicious. The fried oysters are delish too. They often have a wait, especially in summer, but it’s worth it.
