“We had the chicken tikka kebab, mutton dum biryani, and chicken boneless biryani. Everything was flavorful and well-cooked. The kebab was juicy and perfectly spiced, and both biryanis were aromatic with tender meat and delicious taste. Overall, a great Indian food experience! Loved it.“

“Indian food has always been my favorite. I’ve tried a lot of dishes, and I’ve declared more than a few places “the best”… only to change my mind later. Well—move over, everyone—because I have a new champion.
Taste of Punjab in Philadelphia now holds the crown for the best Chicken Tikka Masala I’ve ever had.
And listen… this place doesn’t come with flashy décor or trendy vibes. It’s kind of a dive. Minimal parking—especially after a snowstorm—but we eventually squeezed our way in, and I am so glad we did. Honestly, it’s the kind of spot that’s worth circling the block ten times just to find a parking space. While we were there, a steady stream of people came in for pickup orders, plus a few delivery drivers—which is usually a very good sign.
The woman at the counter was super laid-back, friendly, and actually fun to talk to—great personality and totally on top of things. We asked for Paneer Pakora as an appetizer, and she suggested the Vegetable Platter instead since came with more variety and it was actually cheaper. Sold. It included vegetable samosas, mixed pakora, and paneer pakora—and wow, was that the right call. Everything was excellent, but the mixed pakora stole the show: spicy-hot, packed with veggies, and perfectly crispy from being deep-fried.
When it came time for entrées, I did what I always do—I panicked over the menu for way too long and then went with my trusty favorite: Chicken Tikka Masala. Absolute home run.
My wife ordered the Korma—rich and creamy, with cashews, raisins, and just a hint of cardamom—and it was outstanding too. We got both dishes at medium heat, and it was spot-on. Warm, flavorful, and just spicy enough to keep things exciting without wrecking us.
I wouldn’t just recommend Taste of Punjab to Indian food lovers—I’d say it’s a must-stop if you’re anywhere near Center City Philadelphia. Hunt for parking, be patient, and rest assured… it will be completely worth it.“

“Came here off the turnpike for takeout. Loved it! Writing the review so I remember to come back. I’ve spent some time in South India and restaurants in the US serving that style of food with fresh ingredients and that special, complex flavor can be hard to find. Ordered the medhu vada, onion masala dosa, tomato curry, and saag paneer. All were great! Word of caution: they are using India-worthy spice levels, so the mediums my spice-loving teenager and husband ordered were more than they bargained for!“

“We've only gotten takeout (haven't dined in yet), but their food is fantastic, and it's always ready for pickup so quickly after we call our order in! Great portions, delicious flavors, so many vegetarian options - this is my favorite Indian restaurant by far. Highly recommend!“

“Saffron offers excellent lunch menu deals. For $10-12, you get a lunch portion meal (Chicken Tikka Masala, Lamb Saag, etc.) with rice, salad, and a daily accompaniment. Chicken Tikka Masala was delicious, but a little sweet for me. The Lamb Saag was also a little fatty, but very flavorful. Granted this was a takeout order during COVID. We typically prefer dining in to review a restaurant.“

“Today, July 4, was my first time dining in at Ekta. My older parents and I were looking for a place to eat (and having a tough time finding one!); finally we saw that Ekta was open, though we then discovered that it was due to close in 40 minutes. I am deeply grateful to our server, Owen, for never making us feel like we were inconveniencing the staff by arriving so close to closing, and for going out of his way to help my mom (who has limited mobility) to navigate the steps both when we arrived and when we left. He situated us at a table just next to the door, which was even more helpful. As for the food itself, my dad was delighted with his garlic kabob, and I really enjoyed the Chandrakala (first time I'd ever encountered these dried-fruit-and-coconut dumplings) and our bread selections (Lachha Paratha and Ekta Naan, the latter kind of an adaptation of the Peshawari Naan concept but with black sesame seeds included). My mom and I both guzzled our delicious lassis (mango and pomegranate). Though toned down at our request, the Alu Gobi was still a bit spicy for me, but tasty nonetheless.“

“I recently had the pleasure of dining at Coriander in Voorhees for the first time, and it was an amazing experience. The Paneer Lababdar was flavorful and rich, perfectly complemented by the Goat Cheese Naan, which was absolutely delicious. The warm, inviting atmosphere was enhanced by Harman, the owner, who was not only delightful but also incredibly welcoming. As someone who works nearby at Voorhees Pediatric Dentistry, I’m thrilled to have found such a fantastic spot. I will definitely be returning often, both with my staff and my family, to enjoy more of the incredible food and hospitality at Coriander. Highly recommended!“

“I can't write enough good things about cross culture. Food is consistently amazing. Over the last year or two I've been so impressed I'll randomly try new dishes. And I'm so glad I have....I found two of my absolute favorites. The Samoa Chaat is amazing. So is the spicy eggplant and shrimp. And that's not enough touching on my main order! I also highly recommend the Chefs special naan. Lamb korma, chicken cashmere, and paneer masala are staples for us.“

“Went on 1/30/23. A very well stock store. Reasonable prices. Friendly and helpful employee. Lots of good frozen selections and lots of spices, herbs, legumes, lentils, sauces in jars and spice packets. We made butter chicken for dinner from a spice packet and it was easy and wonderful 20 min meal. Served with naan and samosas for dinner Their prepared foods were not open yet but it clearly has peaked my interest. Will definitely return often. I wish them well!“

“A hidden gem tucked away on Whitehorse pike in NJ, Mamas Indian kitchen & food mart defies easy categorization.
Authentic family experience they make you part of, some people may not be use to how much they make it like your home and there’s here but every aspect about it is great!
Nothing on the menu will disappoint you
This family-owned establishment seamlessly blends authentic Indian cuisine with the practicality of a convenience store and smoke shop. Don't let the unconventional setup fool you – the food here is exceptional and will be the best food you ever ate!
The family's dedication shines through in their homestyle Indian cooking. Their vegan chana masala and dal are standouts, proving you don't need dairy for rich, satisfying flavors. The samosas are consistently crispy and generously filled. Open from early morning until late night, you can satisfy your cravings or grab essentials practically any time, they have early and late hours.
What makes this place truly special is the warm family atmosphere. Generations work together behind the counter, sharing stories and cooking tips while helping customers navigate both their extensive Indian menu and convenience store offerings.
5/5 stars for bringing together the best of all worlds and doing it with heart.“

“Edit: I've updated my review with 5 stars as I got a quick response that this location is within the Italian place. I'll update the review once I place an order next time.
I'm slightly confused. I'm sitting at this address and there is no store selling biryani or gyro!
Is this a ghost kitchen? Online order only? If so, please update the description as I drove 20 miles to get here.“
