Had a fantastic experience at Cafe Metro in Teaneck. This is a great local spot for authentic Caribbean food with a real home-cooked feel. There’s a great variety on the menu, from oxtails, curry chicken, brown stew chicken, and curry goat to shrimp and grits, fried fish, whole snapper, chicken and waffles, and plenty of traditional sides.

Delicious Caribbean food. We had the curry chicken and brown stew chicken. Next time will try the traditional specials of Fungee and Ducana. Pria was great in making suggestions to have the house ginger beer and carrot cake.

Pros: Food was ready when indicated. Tasty and plentiful. Cons: I ordered an entree that was supposed to include plantains, but there weren't any. The menu listed okra as a side, but it did not appear available when ordering online for takeout. In-house dining only maybe?
