Came here on a Thurs late morning/early afternoon. We were greeted and served by the owner, what a pleasure. The ginger tea was AMAZING, large slices of ginger were served in the cutest personal size carafes which made the tea nice and STRONG. Wow. It's hard to believe that I had not hit send on my review of this place. It's an absolute gem and worth all the driving I drive to get here. It's what brings me to this side of town. The stew fish and fungi (coocoo in my country) is like home creole food. Authentic and perfectly executed. Tastes like my grandmudda coocoo and stew fish. Try the codfish cakes. Scrumptious! Curry is always good and oxtails are braised perfectly. The food is savory and seasoned well. Love the comfort on the restaurant, great place to try out some Antigua cuisine. The menu has American food also. I highly recommend Cafe Metro.
