“It's really a great place. Went there for lunch, and the place was a little busy but moving fast. I was sad that my go to Salad is no longer on the menu, Niçoise Salad, but without skipping a beat, they made it for me!Sorry about the picture. “Went to Slice House last night for the first time. Thought they were related to Scianos our favorite place and found out it was the Sons who opened it. Well we kind of felt like traitors but owed it a try. Well from the outside doesn’t look like much but as soon as you open the door you are greeted warmly by a blond young lady behind the counter, an open air bright clean restaurant. Its not big but roomy enough with low and high top tables. One of the sons was behind the counter and he very friendly took my order. They had advertised a mussels and pizza special for about $28. Their ad showed a picture of the best looking mussels I had ever seen. I asked him if they really looked that good so I ordered that and a very thin crust pizza which he graciously said he could accommodate. We sat at a table and waited. We were never neglected and checked on often for our needs. They brought the mussels first like we asked and they were better looking than the picture BUT the taste BEST I ever had! Plump and tasty, sauce suburb light with cherry tomatoes and sweet garlic. The even asked if we wanted more bread! After we sopped up every bit the pie came out. PERFECT in every way. They have such great selections plus desserts. Our next visit we will try the wings. We will still go to Scianos for their great meals but Slice House is are now our go to Pizza and Mussels place. Bravo to Slice House and the Staff for an enjoyable experience.“

“My sister and brother-in-law were visiting NJ and staying in Tom’s River. I suggested we meet at Sugo for lunch. We were greeted warmly when we entered and were seated immediately. Service was professional and attentive. We ordered two falafel platters, a quinoa salad and a bowl of ziti for the table. The food was delicious and we all finished our meals. Interestingly, the falafel platter didn’t come with pita. This isn’t a complaint, just an observation. Since the portion was so big, I didn’t miss the pita. The restaurant is tastefully decorated and comfortable. The owner of Sugo’s also owns Giddy’s in Highland Park. The food there is equally as good.“

“I knew from the moment I walked in that I was about to have a great meal. You order what you want from a kiosk (you can ask for a recipe if needed). Everything you order can be customized to your liking. There are plenty of vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options.

I ordered the Sweet Soy Five Spice with chicken instead of turkey meatballs and then added additional veggies. My meal was delicious! There was a bit too much sauce for my liking but I can easily just ask for less sauce or to have the sauce on the side next time (there will definitely be a next time). The serving size was perfect! Plenty of food to fill me up but not too much where I feel wasteful throwing what’s leftover out.

There are plenty of seating options and they are laptop friendly with charging ports at the bench seats. There are also gender neutral bathrooms that were clean, which is always nice to see. The employees were all very friendly as well.

I plan to come back in the VERY near future to try their Honeybar (dessert) selection.“

“Verace is my go to frequently, their wraps are delicious, I recommend the buffalo chicken wrap with your choice of fries or onion rings, and a MUST try is their Grandma thin crust Sicilian square cooked to a perfect golden crust, topped with plum sauce, fresh mozzarella and torn basil. You will love this one! Owners and employees are great, you can't go wrong with anything off their menu. Give them a try!“

“Ordered for pick up and when I received the order two of the items I got had barely any sauce in them. I felt bad calling to complain but I did and the manager Scotty was very helpful and understanding and replaced the items with extra sauce on the side and gave 2 free deserts. The staff was also very friendly and welcoming, best experience I’ve had with a restaurant.“
