“Excellent restaurant serving a variety of Mexican and Mexican-inspired dishes, and some Sinaloan options like aguachile. It's hard to go wrong with any of the guacamoles, starters, or tacos. The aguachile and ceviches we've tried have been good. Was pleasantly surprised by their cocktails. Particularly like the Fridita and the Paloma. The couple that runs the restaurant is very kind. Nice ambiance too“

“We had dinner at this joint on our way back home from a long trip. From the moment we arrived we had a very welcoming young waiter. He went above and beyond and was very professional, very friendly and very helpful. Great customer service and food was phenomenal!! “Im from LA and the veggie burrito here reminds me alot of the VB there. Iv'e come with my family and friends and everyone enjoys their food very much. The people are cool that work here and they have the perfect spot beside the park for a walk after eating. Also my dog loved the shrimp they were so nice to cook. Parking: There’s a parking lot on 39th street close to bergenline ave. I recommend to park there if struggling parking“

“It’s now called Mister Elote Frutas but they’re really good. I ordered a green juice and bought some cut up pineapples and mangoes. My fiancé said that the pineapple tasted fresh! The prices are more than fair. I would definitely go back to try out their other juices.“

“Very good food, mom and pop atmosphere and clean. People were nice and food was authentic. Make sure to try the red and green salsa! Food comes so you season as you like. Just ask for salsa on the side. Portions are huge so come with an appetite (even then you'll probably leave with leftovers)“

“Consistently good food, I’ve never been disappointed by this place. I moved to Weehawken in 2021 and every single time I get food from here it’s magnificent. Yes the prices have gone up but so have the prices of materials for restaurants, I’m certain they’re increases are necessary for them to just, function and pay their employees. Regardless of that, I will keep returning. My only gripe is with the tortilla soup, that one is really really expensive for the amount that you get. But the street style tacos, the Birria tacos, the quesadillas, the enchiladas, the guacamole,… It’s always incredible.“

They offered me another one without shrimp and were so accommodating about it. Highly recommend them if you’re looking for a delicious, local spot in Union City!“
