“We came from Ohio for a show in Jersey- but obviously we had to stop and see Anthony for some dogs on our trip. All of our hot dogs were awesome, my favorite was the Frito Pie and my boyfriend loved his sauerkraut with hot onions and mustard! (No pictures, ate them too fast, oops..) Anthony treated us so kindly, in fact all the locals in the store were so friendly. I wish we could have spent more time in Verona. He really made our stop in so special, asking us about our stay and even took a picture with us.
If you’ve never been here, you’ve gotta go! The dogs are incredible and the folks inside make it that much better. I’d give them 100 stars if I could. Thank you Anthony for being a highlight of our trip!“

“I 1st became aware of this place from a reel that I seen where some guy was complaining about the price. The way the employee handled it by offering to give it to him free of charge and he could come back and pay if he enjoyed it really intrigued me. Made me think these must be spectacular hot dogs and he knows it. So I took the 5 hour 250 mile round trip from my home to see for myself. Well these dogs were just amazing 🤩 perfect snap on the dog and the chili was just spectacular. The two women that were working the counter were simply wonderful and friendly. I will definitely be coming back. I would have to say they’re in my top 3 hot dog joints. Thank you for talking me into the 3rd hotdog 😜 I need one for a picture anyway since I gobbled the 1st 2 down quickly 🤣🤣🤷🏻‍♂️“

“It may not look like much on the outside, but this place is great. It’s run by a nice guy, and the cheese fries are also quite solid and taste good. As for the hot dogs, they (from the sausage to the chili to the cheese to the mashed potatoes) have this amazing texture. Like, it has this soft, embracing feel in your mouth that just leaves you with a smile on your face. And the taste is phenomenal. That’s the best way I can describe it, I personally recommend trying this place out yourself if you actually want to know what it’s like…“

“Great little place one could easily miss if they weren't looking. Delicious dogs, relatively inexpensive prices, and great ambience, make this a go to spot. Couple of drawbacks though. Seating very limited, so best time to come is after the lunch rush and before school lets out. Also limited hours of operation, as they are only open during lunch through early afternoon rush hours, so plan accordingly. You won't regret it.“

“First thing first, the price I paid for a burger with fries and a drink was surprising because it was cheaper then I expected. “Listen carefully, better yet read carefully.This spot hits, a gag of a location perfect for a first date.The owners are wonderful and easy to communicate w/ and more so dedicated to the craft.The dogs on the other hand...Woah, it HITS, taste buds are going wild right now, my order was a dog w/ chili and Raw Onion, that chili alone can be attached to an I.V for direct absorption please.Overall great spot, if you have a jeep pop open the tail and sit vibe w/ the dog for a bit and keep life moving. A great spot for a quick bite, the best spot for their chili dogs.“

“located right on newark pompton turnpike, it's such a great place to stop for a quick bite when you just need a good burger (or their ribeye steak...SO GOOD), i've never met a friendlier staff or have had such a delicious meal ready to take home im such a short amount of time. definitely will be recommending this place to everyone i know!!!“

“Burger is OK, but I just ordered a flash burger, which has a fried egg. Specifically asked them not to over fry the egg . And they do exactly what I ask him not to do. If you’re gonna put an egg on a burger like that, you might as well scramble it if you don’t know what over easy means. Definitely don’t waste your money if you want an egg on the burger. Because they definitely don’t make it right.“

“my grandma and me would walk down the street sit on the park bench get a few of Tony's best hot dogs with sweet onions or there Chili Cheese dogs then take my fishing pole and walk down the steps to branch brook park and do some fishing this was back in the 70's I stop by there every now and then when I'am in the area brings back old memories of when I was much younger.“

Gains Burger cooked well done - came as requested #12. Bacon Royal Burger cooked medium - came as requested. The price is fair for what you get and we will always pay for great quality.“

“They have great burgers, cooked well done and fresh; my favorite being the El Paso burger. And a good variety of shakes...coconut, cherry, mango, and caramel. The coconut one slaps different.🤤👍 It was great to see this spot replace the golden arches that was there before, big level up to that downtown Newark, NJ area.“
