Two reasons to go to The Auction (Jersey Shore native clamdiggers still call it that) are for pickles and pretzels. Been going there since I was little, back long before the fire and when "Shimmy the Pickle King" was still there. Bought quart each of news and garlic dills yesterday, along with horseradish. And pretzels, of course. Redneck chic, still a great place.
