“Osaka is a classic! I recommend really any of the hand rolls, but my favorites are the spider roll, sweet potato roll, any of the vegetarian rolls, the eel roll is good too! The edamame is a must on the side, and their lo mein + fried rice is really good too. I have only gotten take-out but have always been really satisfied with the freshness + flavor + everything I have eaten here!“

Went out with my girlfriend and her parents for my girlfriends birthday

I have to eat gluten free and this restaurant was so accommodating, that I was actually able to experience hibachi at the hibachi tables. Typically when I go out to get hibachi they always make the food in the back and I miss out. But not these guys, they made my meal first to avoid cross contamination, and they gave me a double portion of fried rice in place of the noodles(they used gluten free soy sauce for the rice). I had steak and shrimp and it was phenomenal!

Any food items that we have ordered are delicious. Lauren Guenther is one of our favorite servers. She's a sweetheart. She's very friendly, personable, and very focused on what she's doing. We know Lauren from when she served at Carrabba's. She was very special to us back then as she is now. Being local residents, we visit River Rock frequently during the summer and we will ALWAYS request either Lauren or Kelsey Conover because we simply adore them both. “The service and atmosphere was great. The seats are comfortable, decorations are good and the lighting is just right. Staff was very helpful. The drinks are mainly just different teas but the two milk teas we tried were good. The food was very variable in taste though. The appetizer (beef with scallions) was delicious and had the best sauce. The Three Musketeers and Beauties was good other than the scallops, however the rest of the tables food was mediocre to plain bad. The mango chicken was the most tasteless thing I’ve ever tasted in my life. Overall other than the chicken, the restaurant was fine.“

“we've been going to 709 for many years, and go there quite often . service is always good, but the food has been hit or miss for the past year. they closed down and reevaluated their menu and staff. the new staff is excellent, as was the old. we have decided to continue to support 709 during their transition. Saturday's dinner was just not prepared to my liking. my fillet was medium well, when i asked for medium rare. the server was excellent, and tried everything to accomodate my requests. no fault of her own. but, the chefs should pay better attention to what they are cooking. the sushi chefs also need to check the freshness of the fish they are serving. the usually "red" tuna was gray. we tried a piece each, and decided not to eat it, and it was then off our bill. 709 was "the" place to grab a great meal.... look at my other reviews. not too sure anymore.“
