“Zupko’s Tavern is a great local spot with a fun and welcoming atmosphere. The food is always tasty—especially their wings and burgers—and the portions are generous. The drinks are well-priced, and the bartenders know how to make you feel right at home. It’s the perfect place to catch a game, grab a meal with friends, or just relax after a long day. “Posted up in the center of the pub. Me and these two mad lads started drilling. Ice was about 4 inches and ol' Stout was struggling to breach through the ice. After a few minutes of turmoil he was finally able to break and we heard the glorious rush of the water gushing like a foutian out of the portal to the dark unknown. We stood there conquistadors above a murky gold; fish. We set our thrones upon the ice and readied our rods. Our mouths watering at the thought of the first fish. With bait and hand a glee in our hearts we awaited the first bite. But folks, as everyone knows, fishing isn't about the catch nor the side of the fish. But it's the spot and the friends we make along the way. We caught no fish, not even ol' Stout. But we had a splendid time, and like the conquistadors of old we left with nothing. Oh yea and there's uhh ... darts in the back or something.“

“The night before my wife's 50th high school reunion (North Plainfield, class of 1975), a large group of the attendees went to a pre-party at Ellery's. The pizza served here was pretty good, but it was a little greasy. Besides plain, they offered sausage and a few other styles. The restaurant also served wings and salad, which I passed on. The get together ended with a great selection of fancy cookies, where I really over-indulged.“

“Cuzin's Seafood Clam Bar is first class! Not only is the seafood fantastic, but the dry aged steaks and cocktails are excellent as well. Highly recommend“

“Just spent St. Patrick's Day here. Live music, step dancers, amazing bag pipes, incredible food and a great price. They really shamrocked it this year. Our waiter was outstanding too!“

“Verve was hitting on all cylinders last night as we dined with friends. We were seated promptly. Cocktails were well made but did take too long to order and get to the table- something we were willing to overlook once food started arriving. All of our apps were super- chicken buns, pork belly, oysters and calamari’s shared amongst the 5 of us. Everyone raved about their entrees , steaks, lamb and salmon flavorful and perfectly cooked. Desserts were good but could have taken some more effort. Service was competent and professional but wasn’t perfect. All in all a great evening, expensive but good price to value and not out of line with local prices“

“I recently visited the District 7 Restaurant & Bar and had an amazing experience. The BBQ chicken wings at the bar were delicious. What stood out the most was the exceptional service provided by Edei, who made the best Old Fashioned cocktails in New Jersey. Highly recommend this place for a great experience!“
“The atmosphere was very good, I really liked the music, the DJ was very fine and friendly in pleasing the musical tastes of the clients, the attention of the waitresses was also very good and enough space to dance, in general terms very good place and I would give it a rating From 1 to 10 I give them a 9. “We got the Bratwurst at the New Brunswick Oktoberfest. Best I ever had and I've been going to them all over the tristate area for 25 years.“
“Great Atmosphere ! Great Music! Redesigned Bar look amazing! Rock concerts once every month what's not to love about this place. Beers selections are great and fair prices and most of all the people who work here are always so nice. The owner is so nice !!“

“My corporate office is close by so I have been here several times over the past few years. As of this week they rolled out a new menu and I was definitely impressed. The selections are more varied and the quality also seems to have improved. I will say the staff and drinks have always been top notch, so no improvement needed there. Happy to see the menu change and save myself some DoorDash fees on my future trips!
PS - make sure you see Micael (Mickey) if you come!“
