“Wow. Finally. GOOD FOOD that can be taken to go. I’m beyond relieved I don’t have to endlessly search for other food options that aren’t fried or fast food. Even chick fil a is falling off these days.If you’re tired of the same old generic garbage fast food, then please take a shot on this Mexican food.I ordered the chicken fajita to go with a pineapple Mexican soda they had there. It was alllll delicious ?came with a house salad as well, and the staff were very kind and respectful.This spot is right next to a panera, wingstop, even a movie theatre, right off of 22.“

“Unfortunately yelp won't let me go past 5 stars and this place deserves wayyy more! Before I moved my dad and I would come almost every Saturday together for lunch since I was 10-11 years old. This restaurant has a tex mex flair. We have had so many different things on the menu we highly recommend. Baby Back Ribs w/the spicy rub, the special : Sliders & Street Tacos and Chicken /Steak Fajitas for entrees. For starters we suggest going with guacamole or a soup. There's homemade chicken tortilla & Black bean soup. The chips are great and salsa tastes fresh medium spice level. To finish we recommend the award winning flan its *chefs kiss*. Each table also has some homemade sauces that range Fromm mild to spicy and a bit Smokey you can add to your BBQ or Tacos. Since the flood the place has had a total makeover which looks fabulous , including now being able to order cocktails which was totally needed now the place I grew up with is growing up with me too now we can both drink! haha. The owners Mike & Mel are so kind and provide such a great menu & specials options. Their staff are amazing people and so helpful when it comes to new people coming to try out Grub Hut for the 1st time. I also included some take out pictures as I wasn't able to find any pictures of the BBQ options I ate while dining in.“

“Wow what an interesting and vibrant place to eat and enjoy a festive evening with family and friends. The food was delicious with tons of variations to choose from, the build your own taco sheet was really helpful. A live guacamole booth was a great touch to see it made fresh before your eyes. All our dishes were made to our desire and tasted great. Our server was polite and very attentive to our needs as a large group of 20 people. Prices were fair even for the entrees. Since we celebrated a double birthday they brought over a huge sombrero and sang along with us. We will definitely return again soon.“

“We went here with a friend. The kitchen was a bit loud like someone was banging pots. Decor is pretty sparse, we were the only people there on a Saturday evening. The tacos are good, don't expect any sort of side like beans or rice. Everything on the menu is less than $15 so expect the experience to line up accordingly.“

“I tried their birria tacos when they first opened (1-2 years ago), and they were good but I remember the tacos were on the smaller side compared to others I've had (e.g. Chofi in Union). Granted, they were a new restaurant and I assumed still working out some kinks. In all honesty, I ended up forgetting about this restaurant. I just ordered through Uber eats today, and the tacos were bigger than last time, tasted amazing, and delivered hot. Flavor was on point for the tacos, consome, and green salsa. They do have a few tables so we did eat in there. The food was fresh. I wasn't thrilled with the flavors. I got fish tacos and really the only thing I could taste was the cabbage. “Tried New Brunswick location today for the first time after hearing raving reviews from my co-workers. I am very impressed! I got a burrito box w/ chorizo and added guac, Brussels sprouts & chipotle aioli. Oh my goodness. Delicious! Those brussels were way tasty. Then a bag of chips too. The chips had a hint of lime and lightly salted, so good. Better than chipotles. The bowl was huge; couldn’t finish which made for a great dinner. Can’t wait to come back and keep trying different meats!!“

“My friend and I got together for some good Mexican food. When I arrived I parked on the street nearby. I walked in and was greeted by the host/server and sat. It was a dimly lit restaurant. I started with the red sangria, and that was tasty. I was a little disappointed because they had no red wine for my next drink, so stuck with the sangria. For my appetizer, I got the camarones scampi, but it was a garlic shrimp, and it was tasty. My friend had the fiesta platter and I tried it and it was good. We then had the shrimp tacos, which were delicious! For my meal, I got the red snapper, and my friend had the garlic shrimp dish. I really enjoyed the red snapper, and my friend enjoyed the shrimp. We then had the dulce de leche cheesecake, which was good. We really had a good experience!“

“Yelped a local place for authentic street tacos and found this gem. From the outside, it's very plain. Almost can't tell it's open but when you see everyone coming in & out, you know it's THE spot. Got my order to go although next time I'll be eating it indoors. The space is huge with lots of tables. Put in my order for al pastor tacos. He said 25 minutes but I got it waaaay less time! The waitress is good but there's only one in the place so if it's busy it's hard for her to tend to every table but she tries her best. They should add ground beef as part of their meat options. We got a flight of jams, it was served with mini croissants, corn muffins and biscuits, but it wasn’t fresh at all. It was warmed up, but tasted like it’s been standing for few days already. We were greeted by our server Abel he was fantastic! We all started with a flight of margaritas which were tasty but had no alcohol in them we even mentioned it to the server. He did not bring out extra tequila or anything. The flight cost us $30 each for juice, that is the reason I took 1 star off!! We all shared two orders of guac... really good. Most of us had the mixed fajitas, my other 2 friends had the enchiladas and the sirloin steak and shrimp on a stone. Our food was great, good flavor and portions. At the end, we all were given a shot of tequila, even that shot felt watered down! I would come back here for the food, they definitely need to work on their drinks! For drinks we had jarrito mandarine and tamarind piña.The burrito was standard. The verde con pollo was delicious and the tostada was generous and tasty. As a night shifter, it's hard to find reliable places to order from Uber/Grubhub/etc when you are beat from work but this place delivers, pun intended. Ever since my coworker recommended this place, I have been a big fan. Some of my favorites include the Tex Mex Burrito, the steak quesadillas, and of course the guacamole. The prices are very reasonable and I haven't had a bad experience yet from the several times I've ordered there when it comes to food quality. However, stopped in to grab a quick bite on my way to work. The gentleman behind the counter was what service should be. But here is where this young man Chuck deserves a review. Once the costumers where seated he stepped out and checked on each one of us! But since we were in the back we got a quiet spot :) One thing is the red lights and dim lit restaurant makes the place dark. I wish they brightened up the space with regular lights instead of the colored lights. Made the pictures come out dark too (see pictures for reference) The food was amazing! I loved the guac we ordered for appetizers. Nachos were okay, I have had better. The entrees both were good, flavorful and good portions. They served the rice/beans in tortilla cups so more food to eat! (Not that we finished it all) I took off 1 star because the service was really slow. It took them 45 minutes to give us just appetizers and another maybe 50 minutes for the entrees. We waited for quite some time for the food!! Also their fountain drinks are flat. Just order something bottled instead! When we went they were out of stock on most of the advertised bottled drinks.“

“Very good Mexican and Latin cuisine restaurant in Bernardsville. We either eat or order from there all the time. It's a breath of fresh air in a town dominated by countless Italian restaurants. Good food, relatively decent prices, free parking in the back, and casual atmosphere. The braised short rib enchiladas with mole sauce and the Shrimp a la Diabla are the best.
