I’ve had Italian food in Italy, Greece, France, and Germany but nothing compares to Sapore Italiano in West Cape May. We ate there in May 2025 before I left for overseas travel. From the moment we walked in, the cozy atmosphere made us feel at home. The chef surprised us with a special appetizer lollipop lamb, shrimp, fresh tomato and mozzarella, all drizzled in a sauce I’ll never forget. Every single dish our family ordered that night was incredible. What really stood out was the service the staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely cared about every table. My cousin, a lifelong Cape May local, recommended this place to my wife and me. He only started talking about it after losing his wife last November, so the recommendation meant a lot and it did not disappoint. (they stay open for locals and workers in Wildwood) Didn't matter my man took my order and was the nicest guy/family in the world.
