My son just called me from downtown—he and his friends were excitedly shouting into the phone that they found the best new place for smoothies and dumplings. They definitely loved the drinks and food, but what made them so giddy was how kind and friendly the woman at the counter, Margaret, was. She even gave them a few free items.
I figured any business or person that can get four 13-year-old boys to call their mom just to rave about it is worth a shout-out on Facebook!!
When my son came down with a high temp, awful sore throat, and queasy stomach, I remembered hearing about the congee at Fresh Bui. So I called on my way home from work and placed an order to pick up for him - without issue. On arrival, I realized that the shop had already closed, but the owner was inside waiting for me to pick up. So kind!! For my first visit I had the Supergreen Bowl which was great. However, today I made a plan to get to Fresh Bui to order something more exciting... the food special, which was a Malaysian dish, Nasi Lemak, two Malaysian sweets and a honey ginger tea with citrus. Everything was amazing! Margaret, you are so kind and welcoming and I’m so glad I got the chance to taste your delicious food. Thank you for a wonderful meal!! I can’t wait for my next visit.
