“Me and my son get Krispy Krunchy Chicken down in Virginia all the time and when we found it here locally, we had to get it. In VA, it is sold out of a gas station and the people are awesome there. It is the same here. In NJ, it is sold out of Deli Stop and the people are just as great! Chicken is consistently good... but the people selling it make it that much better.“

My friend said she really enjoyed her meal as well (which means a lot because she’s a picky eater). I’m open to revisiting when I’m in the area because my coworker said I had to try their ranch that’s made in house. I was disappointed to see they were takeout only. I didn’t see anywhere online that they didn’t have indoor OR outdoor seating. My one suggestion would be to include a bench or a couple chairs for the people that don’t know they are takeout only.“

“I had an amazing experience at Black Hen. The food was delicious, from the appetizers to entrees to dessert, nothing disappointed. I highly recommend the deviled eggs, the fried chicken was seasoned and fried to perfection with great sauce to compliment and the peach cobbler hand pies were the perfect ending. The restaurant is small but has a great vibe. The servers were friendly, timely and helpful with recommendations. but the star of the show for me was the great music. The wait, usually sucks, but for the right reasons because they’re cooking my order fresh, which I can appreciate. My most recent order was late Saturday night about 45 minutes before closing and on arrival it was even later and they said they were out of chicken and couldn’t fulfill the order, so we should request a refund online, but they would give us what they have remaining. And boy did they give us what they had, they gave us so much food and it was still fresh. I appreciate them making the situation right and over delivering. “This spot was great! The friend were really crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. The sandwich was really flavorful and rich, and didn't have that "old oil" taste. I also got the boneless chicken batch which is a liiiittle pricy but also great. I believe the chicken used was thigh which is extra juicy. I have had a lot of Korean fried chicken spots in the area and this one is my new favorite by a long shot.

For non fried chicken options, the bulgogi beef was really really fantastic and rich.“
