First recommended to us by my wife's boss John Imperante who loves the place ... and with just cause. The redesign is just great- open and well lit. If you are at the bar and John is working he is a delight. You may not leave. We have had Chris as a server a couple of times now and he is attentive and knowledgeable. The menu is is amazingly large and yet they manage to have off menu specials that are as enticing as the daily fare. Worth the trip and we highly recommend

At first glance, was a very nice establishment. Clean, and we got seated quickly. We ordered after waiting around 15 minutes for the server to arrive—still understandable. However, after ordering, we ended up waiting for over an hour for any update on our food and without any actual food. We had plans, and had set aside around an hour and a half for dinner. At this point, we were running out of time. I then called over the waiter and explained we had been waiting for over an hour and had to get going soon, so we asked for to go boxes, where they then explained they’d just pack the food themselves. I said okay, and then we waited another half hour before I told my friends to get in the car while I waited, as we were already late to our engagement. Another fifteen minutes pass, and they finally come with a bag of food. I quickly thank them and jump into our car and, upon arrival, realized they were MISSING ONE OF THE ENTREES. We WAITED for TWO HOURS for our food and they neglected to give us one of our only THREE entrees. This was absolutely ridiculous, I understand a restaurant being busy, but having to wait TWO HOURS for food and them MISSING AN ENTREE is unacceptable. I will NOT be returning. Food wasn’t even that good and was overpriced for what it was.

I was looking to do a variety of sandwich’s for a party and John was awesome to work with! I let John know what I wanted, he verified the order and ended up delivering it promptly to my address saving me so much time! We ended up ordering pizzas too and they were delicious. The chips were SO good too! Thanks for the great customer service!!

My family and I are from Rhode Island traveling for an event. We were looking for a good place and I have to say, The food, service, quiet environment! I had the Shrimp Scampi and I shared it with mom. Compliments to the chef for the yummy lemony sauce. Thank you so much!

Been living in this area for 10 years and never tried this place. Today we decided to order take out. Here’s the thing. I’m vegan and it’s very hard to come by an Italian place that serves completely plant based options as there is cheese in everything. Bensi has not one option but about 6-7 which is unheard of. And to top it off they have several vegan dessert options which only happens in all vegan restaurants. The food was good and I’m regretting not trying them earlier. Next time I hope to dine in. I’m so excited to try another dish.

Had a uber delivery which was delayed due to uber not finding a driver.
The rep at the store was super accommodating. They offered to deliver it themselves. Uber was able to find a driver, but the rep still added free drinks to compensate. wasn’t even the stores fault.
I did not get the reps name that works here, but he is amazing.

My husband and I just got back from dinner ! It was beyond delicious. Our Waiter Jack was great, explained things and when we placed our order he described each dish and believe me nothing disappointed! Everyone from the hostess to the bus girls were so friendly and nice. We shard mussels in a red sauce that was just amazing . I had the light ( small) dish of shrimp fra diavoli and it was anything but small. It was phenomenal ! My husband had the veal sorrentino and can’t stop talking about it. We were so full that we couldn’t look at any coffee or dessert, and there is such a variety ! If we are ever back in this area, we are eating here! And, it was so reasonable !!

Had a great time with our group of 8. The larger tables were arranged in a square to make conversation easier. The service was great, as was the hospitality and fresh baked bread. There was a large selection of food, all of which was delicious. The portions were huge, even the “light” fare. One of our party has celiac disease, so being gluten free is very important. Not only did they have a large selection of gluten free options, the chef came out to our table and reassured us that all of the gluten free food had been cooked separately. I’d recommend them to anyone! I’m glad we stumbled upon this place, just wished I lived closer.

We have ordered takeout from Bensi many times over the years and generally the food is always delicious. Tortellini Alfredo, and the Bolognese Burrata come to mind. But recently I ordered the Carbonara and I hope something hasn't changed in their kitchen because that was NOT a Carbonara. Plan to go back again for another menu choice.
