15 minutes of eating and 45 minutes of waiting in an almost empty restaurant 💔
I probably don’t contribute to reviews as often as I should, but when I saw the negative reviews for the Blue Water Grille in Wildwood I had to write something.
We started coming here late last season and immediately became regulars for their Thursday Night Happy Hour and dinner special. They rotate their Happy Hour food specials. Blue Water Grille at The Bolero Resort is a restaurant with good ambiance and pleasant crowds, often featuring outstanding live music with no extra charge for the show. The service can be terrific and genuinely sweet, though experiences with individual staff members can vary significantly. The food is frequently described as very good, excellent, tasty, and of high quality, with some dishes like the she-crab soup and clam chowder singled out as great or outstanding. The rustic bread is terrific, and meals often come with a fresh loaf.
The restaurant offers a popular Saturday Night Specials menu, including a Ribs Special. This special is a full rack of very good ribs, considered some of the best outside a BBQ restaurant, and comes with a choice of soup or salad, such as Maryland Crab soup or a fresh, plentiful salad, plus sides like a baked potato, grilled asparagus, or brandy carrots. Portions are large and prices are reasonable. Appetizers like the bacon-wrapped scallops are cooked to perfection. The drinks are well-made, including pineapple drinks, and there is a great happy hour. The wine list is not extensive but is reasonably priced. Breakfast is also served, with items like a sausage breakfast burrito, french toast, and omelets, though beverage service at breakfast can be inconsistent. Overall, it is considered one of the best food establishments on the island where you can always get in.
