“I just inhaled the best burger in town. Finally got in to try Heemo’s-Sicklerville and I’m mad it took me so long! I’ve had them saved to try a few months but they’ve been here for years! Absolutely delicious! Long overdue trying and WE WILL BE BACK! Amazing fries, onion rings- well cooked and so good!!! Burger is thinner than I’m use to- more falafel thickness but it actually FIT THE BUN! Instead of half the size like most fast food junk. And I’m not still hungry. Real food, delicious food, extremely kind and efficient staff! (They got a MASSIVE order as I was there and now I have to try those foods next time! Haha) Thank you for opening up a second location for us to stumble into! Sorry it took us so long but you’ve got us hooked. Truly. Try this place. You won’t regret it. Get the heemos fries! Fantastic flavor blend. Even the sodas are wonderful. High recommend this place!!!“

“So, I’m a truck driver doing a layover in Jersey. I’m not familiar with this area however I knew I wanted some Indian food. After reading reviews I said “why not?” OMG hands down some of the best food I’ve had in New Jersey! The falafel sandwich was SOO good!! The chicken and lamb over rice was wonderful! If I’m ever over here in Paulsboro again I will definitely place another order. FYI it was hot and the chicken was fresh. I ordered it through Uber eats.“

“My first time having a shrimp gyro and I can confidently say, I will order that every single time!

My order had rice, peppers, onion, white sauce, lettuce, tomato, and very fresh, well-seasoned shrimp. It was delicious and a perfect size for lunch.

The gentleman in there who I assume was the owner, was so nice and sweet. I could adopt him as my grandpa, but will have to wait till my next visit to discuss the details, lol.

“Outstanding! We picked BKG based on the reviews and I must say they are right. The food and service is amazing.

We all chose to be adventurous and go with the specials recommended by our waiter Fathi. That gentleman exudes charisma and is the embodiment of good service. We loved everything we were served even though they were all exotic dishes, which can be a gamble.

FYI. There are no alcoholic drinks and you cannot BYOB. We were disappointed about that at first because we like to enjoy a couple of drinks with a nice meal but that was soon forgotten. We travel a good bit and have enjoyed nice meals in many countries. This one ranks high on our list. Bon Kif Grill is a do not miss.“

“We found Nafi Food Express truck in Philly at 34th and Market 8 years ago when my son was craving Indian food after a very long and scary hospitalization at CHOP for RSV. We've loved it ever since! The meat is tender and tasty, the salad is spectacular and the owner is very nice and personable. Most importantly to us, the cart is clean and the owner is proud of his history of cleanliness. If you love Indian food this is THE place to get it. We would rather have this as a treat than some of the fancy Indian restaurants we've tried including Tiffin and Ekta and New Delhi. Plus, the amount of food is fantastic in size.“

We even made the occasional pilgrimage there once we lived in separate places around Philly.Majit (and later Salman) always whipped up the freshest food, had a smile on their face, and were glad to talk with us. Salt of the earth.If you like Halal you owe it to yourself to get in front of the Fishtown Planet Fitness and order a lamb/falafel combo platter with your sauces of choice.“

“We came across this place while we were in Philly last month,July. We were looking for a place to dine. It was our first time with Mediterranean cuisine. Positive ambience as soon as we walk in, our server ‘s name ELIF ( hope i remember it right)guided as through with menu selection and showed the best costumer service . I appreciated the complimentary bread and the hummus while waiting for the entree.I love the taste of it as freshly baked from the oven. Food portions are just right. The price is also decent. Food is always fresh and huge portions, complex flavor, tender meat and the owner is beyond nice .he takes pride in his food and cart. He even once gave me a free plate when I came by too late when he was supposed to be closed. Great people great food!!“

“I have recently become a frequent customer of Al Baraka and Falafel king next door. The market has quality meat selection for great prices and I prefer it to other grocery stores. The owners are some of the kindest people I have ever met. Abu Tata is always generous in helping me pick products! Abu Said has gone out of his way to make me a special order of knafeh (kunafa) which has become my new favorite dessert in the world! I have since tried it from other shops and restaurants but no where makes it as good as Al Baraka! I recommend everyone stop in and shop around and try something different! And definitely try the knafeh because it is out of this world!“

“Visiting family in Philly and wanted to try a halal Philly Cheesesteak. Had some In The Uk with varied quality. Saad’s is way way ahead. Big, juicy, very very tasty. Reasonably priced, staff are lovely. Place is set up like a diner and kept very very clean. We are here a few times during our trip, tried others but had to come back. Eat j. And takeaway service is good. My recommendations. Cheesesteak with mushrooms, kofta hoagie. Had a chat with Saad, nice guy. Looked after us.“

The owner (I think) was incredibly understanding when I asked for a spicier platter and even gave me extra sauce without any extra charge. “Went to Khusbu today and got the Kala Bhuna along with Beef Tehari. The food me reminded of my mom's cooking back home in Bangladesh. It's pretty rare that you get to see Bengali food sold anywhere. I decided to come where with my friend the moment I saw the items. The owner was really good and personable he gave us Malai Tea on the house for us. I recommend you to come here for a taste of Bengali food along with Indian food if that's what you prefer.“
